Alright this will probably be a true bapehead thread cuz i doubt any posers will respond to it but HONESTLY........... How long can you say you have been up on bape?????????

Ill start off by saying me personally that i have been up on bape about 6 months-1 year before Drop it like its hot came out cuz i know thats when alot of posers jumped in with bape. I have wanted a pair of bapes before they even got hot or came out in music videos but i didnt even know what they were or where they came from i just remeber browsing online and i somehow came across them while looking at other shoes. I also didnt even know they had a clothing line until i finally did some research and found the whole line of shoes, shirts, hoodies etc........When i finally got the shoes everyone was asking where i bought my Air force Ones:rofl: and if my jacket was Drunken Monkey:rofl:

So how long have you guys been up on bape???? I remember browsin bape on ebay back when it only had like 5 pages compared to the hundreds it has now :rofl:

I was into Bape 4 about 2 1/2-3 years b4 they ever opened up BWS SOHO.

Because I'm not in2 gettin' my shit off Ebay resellers I only got stuff when I had friends who were in Japan and willing to pick up stuff 4 me which wasn't very often.

i've been into bape about 5 to 6 years ago. i got my bapes from recon store back in the days when they carried it. also i visit hk every year so i would buy them from the resellers out there.

Just bout the same wit me sept....i first ran cross them on the net bout 3 years ago.....back when AF1's was blowin up the radio.....and I had a few pairs and sum AF2's I just thought they were sum limited edition nikes......I didn't really think of it much until......prolly TK got wit Pharrell and them and stopped fuggin wit BAM and CKY...cuz TK my fav skater...and i look up to dat manne! So, neways when BBC and Ice Cream had dropped round when Clones just hit the stores.....It kinda led me back into Bape....and i still never really got serious until "Drop It Like It's Hot".........so.......To sum it up-Hip Hop culture led me into AF.....AF led me into Bapestas.....Bapestas never took me anywhere initially....Pharrell and Chad led me into BBC....BBC led me into Ice Cream....stopped there...And skateboarding led me into Ice Cream....back thru BBC.....Into Bape.....and into The Finer Lifestyle of The Gear Head....now i am a Fine conesouier of Hip Hop Fashions....OH YEAH...thats my story...

I visited BWS Harajuku for the first time 7 years ago when I was taking summer classes at Sophia University (Jyoshi) in Tokyo. But their stuff never fit me until they adjusted the sizes in 2003.

I first had interest in bape in the summer of 2003, I noticed nigo in the frontin' video and I was like.......whos that?? and whats he wearing??, I thought to myself....thats some interesting shit!!! thats when the spark of interest began, then noticed pharell and shay rockin' it shortly after that and then I really did some more research on it online and what not, I looked for it online for research and products for a long time befor I started wearing it, as I did not know what was authentic and what was not, so I started rockin' it when bws nyc opened up, and have been lovin' it ever since.

I was interested in Bape's when I first saw Cassidy in the "HOTEL" video with the red/yellow/white/blue joints on.....but I didn't start buying bapes till last June....

i saw it time ago on some next rappers and i was thinking what are those AF1 with stars ? ? ?
then i done a looked up and saw bathing ape, then i look at the gear on e-bay and they looked all crap to me (must be all fakes) then i saw pharrell wearing it and bathing ape came back in my mind then look at clothing line again then bang i was on it . . .

Back in 1999 I remember seeing them in magazines for the first time, and thought the people who were dishing out crazy money for their clothes and shoes were nuts. That was when I first got exposed to the whole bape craze and started getting into japanese style and culture.

I guess I have now become one of those nut people. :p

9-10 years ago...after seeing my friend who he get a present from a japanese girl...that time those Bape stuff still name as "Planet of the Apes" which printed is Hanes Tee...
But that time was way too young and its hard to get here in my country.Plus the price is unaffordable for me..so i just keep on reading those magazines and like saving my as* out for 4 months just for 1 tee.
Get really serious last 5 years after i get my hands on my 1st M-65 camo jackets..DAM COOL...
But now i got some few friends that over in japan..thats why i can get some stuff fast like Kyoto...hehe

Always liked Bape, never could afford it till that last year or so.

I always rocked LRG...was very much into it since they started. LRG still seems fairly underground imo, but I'm dissapointed that you can get it at Macy's....I feel like they sold out in a way.

Bape is still good to go, the high prices keep most of the riffraff out. Plus it's very limited and hard to find. You have to go through a lot of trouble to get authentic Bapes. Just cuz you have the money for it doesnt make you cool or nothin. Plus its about whatcha like. Enough people dont wear it to keep me from buyin it, and even if you do see someone rocking bape they most likely will not be wearing the same thing as you or in the same way.

first noticed it with edison chen, the guy from the grudge 2 , he's been rocking it since 2000/2001, he brought me into the japanese culture wit neighborhood, mastermind, bounty hunter, w)taps, even supreme. HE gets constant hookups form nigo himself, way before pharell was into the scene

i was intrested in it back in 2002 when i was going through some magazines at tokyo airport, i thought it looked real dope, bought my first bapesta around early 2003, and stopped rockin bape after i seen it on mtv and the rise of fapes came out.
