Don't wear Vans (specifically lows) with 501s.

Nike is the best bet. But I saw some decent fits with Half Cabs too, so choose.

What? Vans look fine in 501s. Just wear whatever, there's no magic combination.

thats exactly why I started this thread. I slipped on my authentics and they looked awkward with my 501s. They look much better with my slimmer fitting jeans.

Ya thats what I was thinking. I think they might look decent with some Half Cabs, Chukkas, or Sk8 Hi's so I'm gonna give them a try.

oh I forgot to add that the jeans have to fit nicely over them too. My authentics actually look pretty decent with 501s but since they're somewhat narrow and the 501 leg openings are pretty big I find that I'm dragging alot.

for me almost anything looks fine with straight leg jeans, im fairly tall so my jeans hit right at the top of the shoe, but i would suggest half-cabs or any hightop for the best look

how tall are you and what length do you get your jeans in? I'm around 6'2 and mostly wear 34 length. maybe going down to 32 will avoid dragging?

Half cabs look awesome with straight legs,
perferably any shoe that is a mid or high will look awesome.

Mid or high shoes, period. Slip-ons, authentic, eras and even IMO dunk lows all look like crap with 501s.

authentics and eras don't look good with straight leg jeans. at least for me. it looks too flat.

Half-Cabs look fucking great with them, as do any other shoe thats a sorta low/mid/high model. authentics and eras are too low.

True.

Authentics are not a good look with straight leg.

Throw on the mid/high shoes, like Blazers.

Strongly disagree with this. Straight leg jeans are all I ever wear and I've never had problems with Authentics, Eras, or Dunk Lows. I don't wear with Slip-Ons unless I'm pinrolling and I don't rock J's at all, so that's another story.

I will concede that 501 look BEST with highs and especially mids, but lows can be pulled off easily if you're on your inseam game.
