you could go to a seamstress and get something like that made for MUCH less. just source the materials, get a pattern and boom, 1800 hoodie for 300 dollars.

i know the quality of the hoodies. until everyone on this board understands the laws of retail pricing i dont think they should be saying anything. the materials to produce that hoodie would not cost more than 300. MAX. including the fur. even if the fur was chinchilla (which it isnt, looks like rabbit or MAYBE dyed fox) it wouldnt cost more than 100 bucks to fill the hood with it and thats chinchilla. whats in that hood is more likely to be rabbit or some other lesser fur which in that case would be like 40 to cover it. the cotton terry, at most wouldnt be more than 15 bucks a yard, printed. to put that in perspective, normal terry can be found for under 5 bucks a yard for good quality. im giving them the benefit of the doubt. factor about 3...hell 4 yards if its a large hoodie thats 60 bucks. that chain is at most, plated silver. if that shit was solid gold it would cost way too much for curls to sell them at under a G to the retailers...which they do. couldnt cost you more than 80-100 for the chain and custom zipper pull. if it did youre getting ripped off. Getting it sewn would be between 30 and 50 bucks depending on the person who sewed it. they probably did it inhouse. so lets add this up per hoodie:
100 for the fur (more than likely 40)
60 for the fabric and printing
80-100 for the chain, zipper pull and zipper along with any misc. buttons or snaps.
30-50 to sew it together
thats 270 - 310 cost and it could be (and probably was) made for cheaper and most people wouldnt know the difference. If the fur is indeed rabbit or something similar, the price would be 230-270 cost. using the higher cost price, they would probably wholesale it to a store for a little bit above double, so say 800. the store would obviously be a luxury goods store, so they would up it similarly 1800 from 800 is not that big of a markup in the couture world, which this company belongs. im not knocking the brand, its fresh, and the retail price IS justified. All im saying is if you wanted to make something of that quality, you could, and at a fraction of the price, you just have to have a little knowhow. and DONT call me dukes unless you know what the fuck youre talking about playboy.

At the MOSt, this guy is making a $100 profit if he's charging between $1700 and $1900, depending on the furs used.
