I've been trying to find a hat that I look decent in but I can't. Seems like other people look cool in fitteds and stuff but they just dont work for me. I think I have a small head (when i try on a fitted 7 1/8 fits best I guess) but i have kinda big cheeks so it looks weird. Also, all the hats I've tried had huge bills but they don't look big when other people are wearing them.

What brands/hat types should I try? I believe the hats I tried on were new eras. I also tried on that one The Hundreds hat that looks like the Raider logo but the dome seemed really huge. Any advice?

well, you tried on a new era fitted and a snapback already. i don't really think you have much more of a selection after that. maybe a trucket hat? a beanie?

Don't worry bro. Most of the cats that go ape over fitteds look funny in them as well. Good that you can admit that.

Anyway, maybe you should try box caps or bucket hats, idk.

I think you should get a 5 panel cap like the ones supreme and nike make. If have the same things, fitteds are to big for me so i wear a supreme cap because that fits more to the form of your skull.

go for a Castro type hat
they usually have smaller brim's and won't look bad

theres also Umpire caps, which are basically baseball caps with a shorter brim. not for everyone, but ive seen some people rock them well...not for the fitted look tho.

some brands that have snapback and other non new era hats are supreme, the hundreds, aNYthing, know1edge, and so on. i would just look at all the online shops to find a hat that you think would look good if you get it and it doesnt fit just return it for another.

alternatives include

1) not wearing a hat (i had a hard time finding hats that looked good on me so for a while i just stopped wearing hats)

2) new era caps and wearing them flat and crooked like everyone is doing these days doesn't work for everyone; don't feel you have to conform

3) baseball caps (old school style) with the curved brim, etc. i don't know when the flat brim style came into being; now no one wears hats like they used to anymore

4) 5 panel cap which are smaller and fit closer to skull

5) getting a badass haircut, now you don't need a hat anymore

Yeah I just want to get a hat because there's so many cool looking ones out there and it's another chance to accessorize. Fuck it.

I cant stand fitteds, i just look goofy in them (i got a big head and a full face too, but I still dont like how i look in them), if you dont feel comfortable wearing it then just dont, it's not like its a mandatory clothing accessory item like a belt or something.

you can always do the fedora or castro thing, but if you prefer the fitted look. estate la, elm company and official fitteds have a smaller crown and bill than the average new era, you may wanna check them out.

also depends on HOW you wear the fitted imo, high, low, sideways, backwards, off to one side etc. etc.
