I like nike a lot, so a few years, nike shoes became streetwear and guess who saw it? yeah, me. also when I got into denim jeans and was searching for some good brands, and came across evisu/etc.

I type the way i do because it's the correct way..not like "Take Me To The Mall Today" for example. It's basic grammar.

whats the correct way?what people say?what is in a book?

I saw the BBC Ice cream lookbook when pharrell and those sky blue shoes. But now I'm done with streetwear and on to better things

Being a sneakerhead led me to this place, which got me into streetwear. Funny thing is I've since dropped my sneaker obsession and became more interested in the fashion aspects of Hypebeast. I'd rather wear more basic/classic kicks and use the money I'm saving on sneakers for the rest of my wardrobe and my current denim obsession.

Wanted an alternative to high street designer clothes. Started with magazine & forum homepages, every forum I signed up to was because I saw something for sale.

I did a lot of international traveling as a kid, i always explored the grimiest places I could... and living in different parts of middle america most of my life gave me the urge to find something actually good....combo of everything ive seen and stuff I wish I'd seen led me to streetwear (the good kind, not the shitty graphic tee kind, though I went through a couple of those for awhile)

for 90 percent of this forum it was because of Bape Crooks or 10 Deep

So true, but i bet half the people in here arent into thoses brands like when they discovered them. The concept of being unique is what drew me into streetwear i think, i live in the uk and got sick of all the kids i knew wearing the same burton, topman or river island shit. They were literally like carbon copy's or each other, it was so boring.

i got to it because of STUSSY i really liked em and then these fags in school started wearing em and shit they look like carbon copies of each other so i stopped and then they jumped on SBz...;[
now i just wear jordans and sometimes i wear slim fitting clothing depends on my mood cuz chicks dig it better than those hype kids cuz they are all the same. lol.

For me, it started in 06. I got my first job and I was looking to change up my wardrobe. It started with the sneakers (Nike SB to be exact). Then I started to buy a few Bape products, nothing major. Then I discovered other underground brands, evrything else is history.

The good ole streetwear days... Back in 03' i started getting retro kicks and jordans.. Then I local skateshop opened a few years before that i always went to, the owner, was like are u into kicks, and told him old retros and J's.. Hes like u ever here of Nike SB, its nikes skating shoe.. At that time i was like what? So he went into the back and he busted out the supreme SB's lows, i was amazed... A year later i noticed he was wearing shit i never seen before, Stussy new shit, Supreme and some other brands.. He was rocking tongues out on his dunks, i was diggin the style.. So he told me next time i go to NYC, go to a store called Supreme! Went there was hooked on the shit but couldnt always get it because i lived 3 and half hours away! Went to florida and my best friends step brother was into shoes, he showed me more kicks that SB was putting out! got involved in the sneaker culture Then i was introduced to BAPE and started really getting into this whole new world of street wear! And that was it from there is was all streetwear! So that was back then, now i barely wear street wear!
