When was the first time you got into fashion (urban fashion, streetwear, whatever the hell you wanna call it)?

For me, it was when I went off to college at University of Arizona. There was a little shop down the street called Finally Made, they had their own brand and they carried shit like Benny Gold, BBC and Super. I was like "damn, this is dope". That was the turning point for me.

Can be a confidence booster, but I just like my clothes to look nice, maybe it's just a subconscious feeling that keeps me wanting to buy nice clothes, but with nice clothes, comes high expectations. I ain't about that life yet. my edit later when I figure out a real answer.

I first got into fashion at a young age urban wear and high fashion. Going to the mall so many times at a young age I was surrounded by I really never paid attention to it the one day my mom bought Vogue magazine I read it....then I was hook. Also that day Project Runway was coming on I think it was season 2 or 3 which had me hook even more. Then as I got older I got deeper into different brands and other stores. It was also a big confidence booster....

I'm still 15 yo but I always had a different style because my mom always worked around the fashion world but I don't have much people to discuss with in my country so hopefully next year I'll find a job while I study at the same time and then I'll go to some developed country :p (went a lil bit off topic here ;/)

I would say during grade 11/12 I started being conscious of what I wore more. But it wasn't until this year that I discovered HB along with a lot of brands that I have never heard about before. feels good man.

When I was around 14 I used to draw a lot and I had an idea to draw on blank shirts, turned out they sold well on places like eBay, in the following years I established a couple of designs + did so much research

I did specific research into printing styles, design, fashion styles, artists and I just got hooked, I was addicted basically thinking about fashion every day.

Originally because my mother was always into high fashion brands buying things such as Gucci, I was always curious why people by into brands. Now at 19 I run my own brand which continues to just make me even more interested in fashion.

middle school through highschool. college started lifting weights to get me out of ottermode cause sample clothing/vintage clothing would fit better overall.

2009 I remember this guy in my class worked for Nike, he got me into their sneakers due to all the history of the brand that he revealed to me. My fashion interests developed from there.

when I was 14 became a freshman and got sick of niggas getting on me about my clothes(didn't care what I wore then)
I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of wearing what they wore though (hollister, american eagle, etc.) so I got on the interent and discovered this site. Lurked these forums and went to ya'll for inspiration.

about 8th grade. Coincidentally the first blog that I "followed" was Hypebeast. I got into like Tom Ford and the Prorsum line of Burberry and whatnot. I realized that a lot of the stuff was too flamboyant and wild for me to actually get into so I just stuck with the streetwear lines. Diamond, Johnny Cupcakes, Benny Gold, BBC; those were like the introductory lines for me.

In 8th grade ['08] I started caring on how I looked, but I didn't really care about brands since I still lived off my parent's money. Junior year I found a job not to far from home and started buying my clothes. Wasn't buying top dollar clothes but I did buy it with my own money.
