Cannot got wrong with a Penfield, for the price. I'd recommend the 'Kasson'

thats design is real nice, how does the kasson normally fit and is it just an outer layer or complete jacket?

I think this season I'm gonna try and get my hands on one of those US Army Goretex Parkas.
Anyone have any experience with these? How they fit? How warm? etc.

Otherwise I would go with a Carhartt Traditional Duck Quilted. Best jacket I've ever owned and I've been wearing it for 6+ years.
