Can’t iron shirt, how to remove wrinkles?

August 03, 2012 @ 21:39:25
Anyone have any tips on what to do with a shirt that is wrinkled but can't be ironed?

It's a short sleeve button up shirt not a dress shirt, the instructions say DO NOT IRON!

No dryer btw

Material is 100% cotton

Shower thing works. You can buy a steamer that does the same without heating up your house/apartment. Probably $20-30 new, $2-5 from a second-hand store.

I often spray a shirt with water or Febreze and then hang it on the line/balcony. You don't necessarily need to hang it outside, but you have to use a fan or window if you don't.

Sometimes clothing companies are too lazy to test out their fabric, hence "DO NOT IRON" on the care labels. My best advice to you is to take an iron the LOWEST setting, place a piece a cloth over your garment and iron OVER IT. If the wrinkles do not release, turn up the heat settings, gradually.
