Making a Stable Wardrobe

I'm going into my senior year in high school, and before I blow my load (no pun intended)
What're some key parts to a stable wardrobe?
In other words, what's in style, and or versatile?
Just throw some items that are considerable, or even better.. What do you expect to get, unless you're a graduate and you loot from your mom's purse.
Suggestions?

a basic wardrobe should include:
solid white tees
Solid black longsleeve tees
A white and a blue Oxford shirt
A flannel shirt
basic jeans, Levis 511 or 514 are a good start
Khaki shorts
Hoodie and some type of jacket
....and a pair of vans
solid lowbudget wardrobe imo

I agree with having a pair of vans. Affordable, simple, and depending on the color you get, can pretty much match anything. I was on the basketball team all throughout high school so I was able to get away with wearing my school's sweatpants and hoodie most of the time. Invest in simple clothes - flannels, solid denim, a few solid color T's, a dress shirt or two for formal occasions, a nice jacket/sweater. Try not to blow all of your money on one piece of clothing because you'll more than likely change your wardrobe up once you're out of high school.

More importantly, enjoy your senior year. Shit will go by so quick you won't even notice it. Good luck.

get yourself a pair of nice boots, some Palladiums or RedWings, chicks dig those and you can pull off a lot of different looks with them.

Go on ebay and order some different plain colored shirts
like hanes 4980 (slim) for example

just find some that fit you well and order several colors like navy, white, grey, red, light yellow etc

levis 511 or 510 fit most people well and are cheap

make sure buttondowns are not too baggy. And stay away from those bigass skate shoes

no foxtails either

if you wear a hat, make sure it's not too baggy.

stay away from cargo shorts; instead get some basic chino or flatfront shorts. they should stop at around the knee (maybe slightly above)

fit is key

shit get first and foremost get some solid crew neck pocket tees. those come one handy
get a good pair of jeans, splurge if you want on denim because good quality goes a long way
slim khaki chinos
couple of solid/plaid button downs
like 3 pairs of shoes that are versatile and can go with a lot of clothing (ex: black chucks, clarks desert boots, vans, shit like that)
get some baseball fitteds

you should probably get a pretty decent watch too

A key rule-of-thumb for a stable, well rounded and versatile wardrobe is that it should contain basic, clean and simple items such that you can practically get dressed blindfolded and any outfit you muster up should work. Of course have a few statement pieces like some Jordan's, a few patterned shirts and maybe a loud jacket or two.

I agree with the accessories thing, get a decent watch maybe a few fitted/snapbacks. Avoid too many loud graphic tee's.
