Hey HB, a friend and I were thinking of starting up a brand called "Origin."

Right now, we're just in the brainstorming stage and we would appreciate any tips to help.

Just a little info, "Origin." is going to be a brand with an art/music/philosophy inspiration. We're gonna be mainly be making t-shirts and crewneck sweaters, but hopefully we'll expand.

Here's just a little rough sketch of our logo, feel free to criticize. Much appreciated.

Thanks.

Much props on starting a clothing brand!
Based strictly off the logo you are showing off, I feel you need a better logo. The brand ID is probably the single most important part of your brand next to a solid business plan.
As the logo stands, it looks like a organic food company/ body lotion.

I'd have to agree with nems , perhaps try to focus on the logo before you decide on any fonts to use.

I am digging the leaf sprout thingy.

Also a good design says more than any logo.

A brand that spits out awesome designs , is better than a brand with an overused logo anyday
