Your logo needs work it's kinda hard to read and the C could be misconstrued into a G don't underestimate the importance of a logo that's memorable and easy to read

I've been editing and re-editing these designs because i really want to drop the best possible collection I am capable of. Any and all criticism are welcomed and needed.

Looks pretty clean man. I don't wear tees with death written on them, but I do like the look of a couple of them. Good work.

the letters are unproportional to eachother, and i know thats supposed to be the effect but it doesn't look good. the I on the right doesn't work, its way to small.

I was looking at your logo and I swear I've seen it before. Then it hit me, it looks very similar to Human Made

Just because you guys have similar logos doesn't mean you should just abandon your whole idea and concept. If it was truly created organically and originated purely from you, just go with it.

And depending on your target consumer, ask yourself if they would even know what human made is.

Don't get too invested in the whole hype beast world, you have to always think about the kid who your selling to, not the whole fashion subculture that these forums are centered around.

definitely not, if you have a logo similar to another brands, if it's too similar, regardless of the target market, change it.
plus you can get into legal trouble

Im REALLY anxious to see what some of the people that are always commenting have to release. Its so easy to critique when your work isn't on the chopping block.

I don't think Dangerer's logo is THAT similar.. I know when you're submitting a trademark for registration they do one search on the brand name and if there's a logo, they enter it into a database to find logos with similar shapes. I mean it could possibly come up as a problem, but honestly even the shape is different. I really like Dangerer's logo, I think it's dope as fuck.

Idk, If I were you, I would attempt to register a trademark first before you print. Like I told someone else on here, it isn't completely necessary, your first use of your design on the internet just by posting it anywhere is proof of your ownership.. But if you do get sued and something does come up, instead of the brand fighting with you and trying to prove you wrong/that you stole their idea, they have to fight with the Federal TM office and try to prove them wrong for approving you.. Which is an uphill battle since the Federal TM office is tight as hell with what they approve. I own two trademarks for TPL, it's the very first thing I did and It came in handy twice already shockingly.

Hey guys!

I don't have a line started up but I'm looking to get one rolling in the future. I know some of you may not want to help out "competition" or anything but if anyone can point me in the direction of resources, information and whatnot for starting up a brand that would be extremely helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Try to start off small, first design a good logo and start off by putting it on buttons and bumper stickers first and pass those out to your friends and associates(try to make sure you only give them to people who you know care about your dream) buttons and stickers are cheap and a good way to get people familiar with your logo and if people like it they'll start asking around about your brand.

Let me know what you think of my brand, Geoff Scott International. All my stuff is already copyrighted and trademarked so don't go jocking. I just started in January, and to be honest I need to dedicate more time and money into it for it to be what I really want but I'm personally happy with what I have out now and my newer designs that are getting printed up.
