Question for people that use AA tees:

Can you tell me sites that you recommend for buying the American Apparel tees? Sites that you have experience with?
Im looking to use AA for the first time (all my tees were printed on Anvil 980 ringspun fashion fit tees).

Thanks.

PM or reply here

Dude,
I would recommend looking into getting the proper licensing and buying wholesale from AA. I bet their pricing is lower (since they supply the other wholesalers who in turn probably mark up 10-15% or something).

Thats some truth. Any other recommended sites for good high quality shirts? Im also thinking about those Alstyles

your incorrect grammar and spelling errors don't do your brand justice and come off very unprofessional. the website is suuper cluttered, and seems like everything is very disorganized.

The text on the tee is unclear, i'm not sure if thats the actual design or quality of the photo though. Also, your website is a bit confusing and you should probably switch the 'roll and reflect' display picture to a photo instead of a template so it fits in with the rest of the images.

Still Kicking.

What up,
www.avenyoapparel.com
I have started a new apparel brand called Avenyo Apparel based in Melbourne , Australia.
At the moment we are currently manufacturing caps with the clothing side to start late 2012. All designs are of a limited quantity and will not be made again.
If you guys could give me some feedback on the current range that would be dope.
Here are some pics.

Great looking gear. I like the metal lined slit for the excess strap.

Below is a pic of a jacket made for my Fall 2012 delivery. I noticed there aren't many finished examples of cut & sew pieces on here and wanted to lend an example of what small brands are doing in that arena. This jacket is made in the USA with a water repellent nylon material and micro fiber on the shoulders. I am open to help answer any questions short of "who made that for you". Sorry. Trade secret.

Its good to see someone really putting in some real work on a garment. Hopefully I can say the same soon! Just curious... do construct and sew this yourself or do you have a pattern maker etc...

Whaaaaaat? Haha thats cool. That is just one of the shirts. The disney thing is kinda me poking fun at how so many brands rip off Mickey Mouse. Also making comment on the whole customization and rebranding trend right now. Ill be posting plenty more basic button ups in the shop soon. Here's an example of something cleaner. Button Up

Pros: The first 2 designs are not bad and I can see them selling.
Cons: I don't know what the crossing hands mean in the first design.
-I don't think the rest of the designs go with the first two but that's just me.
If there is one thing I learned/read is consistency is key. but hey that's just my opinion.

*Edit - One last thing, don't let the feedback of others change your whole style. If you want to go with a pop cartoon style, go for it. Its when you try to satisfy everybody its when you satisfy no one.

I appreciate your words, Bluu Dreams is really dope. The hands are supposed to be throwing up a masonic compass. I know the gloves are a bit cliche, but I'm a big fan of The Wild Ones and Famous Stars and Straps; both brands are big influences for me so I wanted to throw down something that had a TWO vibe.

And of course I will continue to keep my own style, but I do agree with his statement to an extent. I need some typography based designs. Your 24k shirt is insanely awesome, I really dig the type work. I do disagree with the cartoonish style being out, It's not as popular as it once was but many Japanese street based brands use it and it works. Kid Robot flaunts it as well and I would like to move into vinyl toys in the future.

That being said though, a lot of you guys have incredibly dope stuff and you're all an inspiration. I know how hard and stressful this shit is so much respect to you guys and stay up!

I'm just a vagabond with Flowers For Algernon.

Concept of our Blue Magic white tee. Its not the final design, wanted to know y'all view. Blue Magic relates to the Opium flower on the back in full blossom. Opium off course the key ingredient to Heroin which was imported by Bumpy Johnson during the Vietnam war. He called his Heroin "Blue Magic". Were doing a whole drug related line, in the line of our concept about overdosing and death in general. Our brand is called Overdeauxis(Overdosis). We already did a Varsity jacket related to the drug Devil's Breath or Burundanga.

Firstly, my apologies for this being my first post on here. I just peeped this thread and felt compelled to drop some of my stuff on here to see what you guys thought. I was lurking this thread and found some incredibly dope artwork and shirt designs such as the BluuDreams ones and thought this would be a nice spot to get feedback. My fault if I'm coming across as disrespectful; I appreciate you guys taking the time to quickly peep this out and give me your opinions!

My brand is called The Phantom Life, I dropped this line a little under a year ago; I haven't had the funds to dive into it full force until now because one of the first things I did was hire a lawyer and file 2 trademarks. I started off with 2 designs which we currently have printed and have been selling, and we have 4 more printing right now. Big surprise - we're a street art and hip-hop influenced lifestyle clothing line, and we're all about promoting positivity and following one's dreams.

Here's some of our stuff to peep:

I apologize for the long ass post! But thanks for taking the time to peep us out, any opinions are appreciated it! You can check us out here http://www.livethephantomlife.com/! Thanks again and much respect, hope everyone has a great day! :]

Might have to purchase something from you man.

awesome, always come correct, only critique is the outside branding (champion and brooks br.) only serves to dilute the potency of winwel's branding.

just a thought mate.

I agree to some extent. Right now Im trying to associate the label with brands that are complimentary. Champion gives off a classic sporty vibe and the vintage button ups are my project until my cut/sew items are ready. Eventually everything will be private label and branded with strictly WINWEL motifs.

Thanks for the love man! Just sent your stuff out this afternoon.

Welchy, I do agree with grams as well as you. I totally get the champion and the vibes it gives but I would not pay $30 for a basic champion tee. I think its cool but for the time being I would have made them a little cheaper considering they are still branded by someone else. Just my opinion though.
Also the snapbacks are dope, I would have copped instantly if it was more of a 5 panel hat rather than 6. I still might buy it anyway.
And, I gotta get back to your PM, I been slacking and I feel like I left you hanging.
