kind of agree... i don't understand the penis-head vulgarity with the incredible amount of cheese on your sexual innuendos.

i can't believe you went ahead guns blazing with like twelve designs. I'm not sure.
I may be wrong. someone may think that's bold and striking and might "cop" but I don't really know that many people that are adamant about wearing penis-head graphics to any outing, whether it be for work or for school or for hanging out at the movies or whatever.

for me, quite frankly, it conveys balding men with post-ejaculatory food obsessions and pedophilia

I have no idea what swallows and daggers means, or how that's connected to a cigar smoking baby or fighting bird.

The line is called Swallows&Daggers because it started off as a traditional tattoo blog and evolved into a clothing line. The fighting bird is a Swallow and is a parody of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish logo since the line has an Irish and US base of operations. The smoking baby is a retake on an old tattoo design. Thanks for the feedback.

ehh. every brand has to start somewhere. theres no need to get straight into it, all guns blazing, for no reason. i know of a brand that just launched in april with a full cut and sew collection: http://www.latitudesupplyco.com/. I have no idea how well there selling or not.

and yeah like what karakter said, why would anyone buy expensive cut and sew from a brand they dont know? play around with it for a while, and see where you stand. you need to allow room for organic growth and learning.

Your point on the cut & sew is valid to an extent. Yes, why would anyone buy expensive cut and sew from an independent company they don't know? But why wouldn't they? In this time, and our era of "streetwear", there are countless start up and independent companies who only put out graphic tees, hats, etc. who have no cut & sew.

I personally believe not having cut & sew is setting yourself for failure. When you go on a website and they have a full range of clothes why wouldn't you support them or purchase something if your into it? If they only have graphic shirts, I click the X on the top right corner.

Any dick with half a brain can put out graphic tee's. However you can be highly successful by doing this, and a prime example is ONLY NY, there blowing up and its all taken place within the last two years, when they launched their cut&sew it failed entirely. Why? because it didn't correspond with their image, sure it was high quality and nice, but it wasn't in their target market to an extent.

On the flip said look at ILOVEUGLY, they only put out cut&sew and look at their success? Everything sells out, sure its in limited quantity but its because its very expensive to put out cut&sew, but they chose that route and believe in true quality of a product.

You cant bash labels for having expensive cut&sew, there is countless hours, thousands and thousands that go into it, and faith in their products.

Gotta say your in the wrong. producing graphic tees take more work than you think. sure anyone could put out a tee with a graphic, but not many can pull off the execution, concept, finalization, etc. it takes a lot of work.

i can go ahead and name tons of brands that had success's and failures with different things. i know brands that do great with just graphic tees, bad with graphic tees, good with cut and sew, bad with cut and sew.

it's quality, not quantity. when i look at a brand, whatever products they have; just shirts, just hats, just whatever, if i can tell there was handwork and quality put into it, i like it. imagine if the brands in this thread tried to put up a cut and sew collection? they probably wouldn't get farther then they are now. it's not like if you come out with a cut and sew collection, you automatically made it. like i said, a brand needs to start somewhere, and organically grow. coming out with an unecesarry cut and sew collection could bomb the brand as a whole, financially.

and also, not everyone wheres cut and sew clothing. if a brand like www.seibei.com came out with cut and sew, it would ruin the brand message and demographically just wouldn't work. people buy that stuff cause they solely like the graphics produced. it really all depends on the brand.

I'm really feeling these, especially the rat squad, struggle and born guilty tees. The design behind them is well executed. Can't wait to see more.

Gush, I'm sorry but someone has to tell the truth - STOP MAKING THIS WEAK ASS SHIT BRANDS based on graphic t's and stuff :/ Doing that you'll just never get anywhere. Since the begining of this topic there is NOTHING that would make any of these brands stand out. STOP RELEASING WEAK SHIT and put some brain in it! Make some money and make some fucking cut&sew stuff! People are waiting for that, not for 37493847 shirt with a fucked up logo. Instead of doing this, learn about garment construction, history of design, some big designers, sewing, drawing and come with something good. Brands and ideas like this will get you nowhere and will finish in a matter of a very very short time.

I hear what your saying, I really do. But unfortunately it doesn't make it right because you simply feel that way. Cut and sewn doesnt mean they will sell and you will be the next big thing. It just means you made some cut and sewn stuff. Having a big designer doesn't mean much if you can't give him a art dirction to go with. For most people in the beginning your stuff is going to be pretty shitty (the hundreds did it, Johnny cupcakes did it) but its what you do after that terrible design. Aka did you learn anything, how can you make it any better, and how can you keep improving. That's what's going to make you into a better brand. (there's obviously more factors but this is one)

in my opinion, ultra generic.
greek influence (without reason too)
you used MMXII which totally turns me off (any roman numerals really).
you don't really stand out from the pack.
