nothing wrong with using fonts form a source......most are even free...no need to buy fonts.

just try to stay away from decorative fonts...most script fonts too....

for those, it is best to do your own!

basic block fonts, serif and sans-serif, are commonly used by lots of designers!

hand drawn fonts can add some character to a design....

and there are some cases that call for a simple, generic, free, basic font.

Sup HB fam...I'm with a street team for LoveMoney, and LMC is a relatively new brand based in Boston, MA. They just launched a new site and a few new drops. The company name is about loving what you do and the having the money (fame, etc.) come later (money follows love), so they have a blog and tees in that theme. They been at it since 2010 (sold out of Bodega and Green Street Vault, along with others), but this is the new stuff they just released. Love to have a chance to build. Peace HB!

jees.. i feel like i've seen all of this somewhere before
i dont know if its a rip or not, but one looks very similary to

some of those designs are dope....seems like yall hustling backwards though....you got product, sold out in Bodega, Vault, and other stores.....keep grinding! what yall doing in here looking for feedback?

I'm just part of their street team and we're getting the word out for the LMC crew. This seemed like the thread for new brands announcing their grind on Hypebeast. They're still pretty new, so it never hurts to build with people in the same boat.

Thanks for the feedback!

They're going to laugh at that. They likely just paid for a stock photograph that a bunch of other designers might have used without knowing. It probably happens more times than people realize with designs that are digital photos. Seems most peeps are giving us the thumbs up which is much appreciated. Not sure what jake's story is but good luck!

No doubt. Didn't take it as hate. Just didn't think the TV was a big deal. I'm serious when I say good luck on Distant Light. It's all love (no pun intended).

Peace!

What do you guys think?

These are only some of the items available in our new line.

The bottom T in the circle looks like Tits Brand.

Anyways if you would've done the hand writing by hand it would have been better.(No hate.) Even if you tried to recreate the font it would've changed it enough to make it "yours"

There's just something about custom typography...

I understand deleting your account because I wouldn't want new customers googling the brand and finding, "what do you guys think of this design?" posts. But I would recommend you create a new account and just use it on the brand forum - kinda like Benny Gold. The fact that he still hangs around the forum shows that he cares about how he came up. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

yeh...thats pretty much the case when you do logo flips...you can find tons of different versions..

it never really stops any brand from doing them....i posted a bunch of USA dream team flips from like 6 different brands...from blackscale, rocksmith, UNDRCRWN...down to lesser known brands....

one never really seems to effect the other.

True. My account right now is my personal one... so i dont really need a new one.. Haha I would enjoy the "what you think" thread! I just mean this thread in particular is kinda flooded (mostly with un-thought-out and unoriginal shit).

I'm just wondering if anyone with some experience can help.
I designed some T-Shirt designs in photoshop and found a screen printer, but i don't know how to send them the designs. Does anyone know the best format to send the files and whether i should send them separately and include a photo of how the design should be placed on a T-shirt?

Any help would be appreciated

It all depends on your design and the printer you're going with.

For example its a picture of a girl and you want it to look like a picture. You can color separate in Photoshop. Or your printer might have someone available for that.

If its just text one color you CAN send a photoshop file, but its a lot cleaner on Illustrator vector format. But If you created the Photoshop file according to the size or bigger than you want it you should be fine. But if you created it smaller you're going to have to recreate it. For example if you want to print your design 13 inches across the chest but you designed it at 5 inches width, changing the size to something bigger in photoshop with either make your design blurry or pixelate. Thats why illustrator is preferred because you can increase the size to anything and it will never pixelate.

If its multiple color you can again color separate in Photoshop. (there are many tutorials on Youtube on that)

I'm normally not a fan of brands that have "fresh or fly" in their names but the crew necks look nice. Good choice of colors too.
