i feel sorry for you
bruh I feel sorry for you. It's all good drawing inspiration from wherever you see fit but if you can't translate that into something the consumer can understand or relate too (even vaguely, through your graphic's or description) then you're doing something wrong.

Furthermore, What the hell does in collaboration with the universe even mean?
Hey I went and got a coffee this morning, the coffee bean's grew from the universe, the cow ate grass from the universe to the produce milk, it was served to me in a cardboard cup that originally grew from a tree in the universe..

"FLAT-WHITE" COLLECTION

ok bro i get the idea of the joke from the first guy. but you're over-analyzing it, .. a universal version of something is something that works everywhere, it's not bound by anything.. collaboration means working together to create, my goal is to create a versatile label, working with that of everything, not immediatly look at something and reject it, but see how i could get the best of out whatever it is and incorporate it but still maintain who we are as a brand, thats all sometimes it may work sometimes it may not.. what you're  doing right now you're immediately rejecting this, which is what i want to avoid as a label. that's why i make a few soccer inspired shirts, i am a huge soccer fan and i collect jerseys, and i love the idea of how soccer brings the entire world together in a way, different walks of life.  so i made up my own phrase, collaboration with the universe, working hand in hand with that of everything, i really believe in the idea, sorry if you still dont get, but i guess it's a reason to keep working hard and make people understand.. but i have a vision and direction im passionate about at least.. and you're brand must be top of the line, if mine doesnt relate to the consumer even vaguely.. i must be doing something right, ive made sales all over the world not immense numbers, but some people are getting it, i had a small feature on complex, i know it's not too difficult to obtain but someone in the industry thought i was one of the 10 best online brands to check out.. which must say something..but in the end all i could do is just keep working!

You've got a naked chick wearing Jordans and a Jordan necklace as your background on your site and by looking at your product shots I can guarantee you didn't take your background picture. It looks unprofessional and rushed man. In regards to the tee I'm not really digging it and the shoes look sloppy and weird on her. Its also a ridiculously iconic image so IF your shirt ever blew up, you'd probably get a cease and desist.

Mission statements, brand backgrounds or any other reasoning should be if done.. stay under 2 sentences. People are getting way into their brand backgrounds when a lot of it is bullshit mumbling. Keep it short and sweet no one wants to know why your brand is going to change the world. Product > words.

in regards to my explanation of my brand, i have a one sentence description if that on my site, but when some people mock it and dont understand sometimes it's necessary to explain a little further, maybe?

Also, i know the http://# could be better. When the final hat arrives our product photos will be much better.
Shits cool but the logo ruins it, maybe a more simple logo on a loud 5 panel.
i definitely agree 100%... the logo on the final hat will be much smaller with a font that is more simple. Thanks for the feedback though.

Maybe try using one of the colours used on a hat as a background colour for your brand's name cuz the yellow background looks out of the place.

All your products are based on everything that is supposedly in "style". I mean you have the pocket tees that are played out, a box logo tee, Monroe with Jordans on (fucking ridiculous) Old English font on the hats and the Dope hat with the letter V on it which is trend started by Black Scale. None the less your name is Dope Society. This brand is solely based on stupid trends that you couldnt pull of right. Sorry about the harsh words but its true. Presentation is really bad too. Even with your "logo" if i saw it from a distance i would think it was the actual brand DOPE. Id suggest if youre still going to do the brand id make Society be more visible from a distance.

The tee's are in print on heavyweight cotton tee's ive been searching for a while and these seem to be zero shrink, good shape and nice loose fit. If your interested in a pre order then pm me for a price and ill send you a link trying to keep this between just a few people which is why im not posting links here. small group - better feedback and lets me get everything just right.
heres the tee and a explanation about it
The hamza hand is a symbol of protection in the middle east, the solider represent the invasion of iraq and Afghanistan. The tee is a comment on american and also britians attempts to bring peace to foreign lands through violent means.

Celestial, The Monolith: It is a brand, a clothing company from the clusters of brands that are now in place in this growing industry. Celestial, The Monolith, in the perspective of it's creator is a representation of Life Itself, in the purest perspective of human existence. It reflects of the world among us, in the realist form of modern human life. In this message I can only describe a small glimpse of what Celestial, The Monolith is, and what it can be. At this moment in time the Celestial team can say that this brand is most underrated and over looked, for what it is and the influence that it can have on today's youth. We have recently launched our first collection NEGATIVELY POSITIVE. I can only assure you that everything in Celestial, The Monolith has a profound meaning from the name of a collection to the design of a shirt. It's up most inspiration is Life Itself, in the core of existence. Negatively Positive Collection is available online at celestialthemonolith.com/store

I present to you the viewer, a small glimpse for the essence of what is, in this industry, in this moment in time...Life Itself, as love...  Celestial, The Monolith

I like the meaning behind the tee. Nice design as well. I personally wouldn't wear it but I can appreciate it
Like this a lot. Good color choice too the red really helps to get the point across.

I wasn't even talking about your brand but when I went to go check your about page on your site it seemed short, a little complex but to the point. I was talking more about people that write a paragraph and have this insane background when in reality anyone that sees your shirt in this market will not be asking the definition of the shirt and how it came about. I like your brand by the way, it sends me back to 1995 for some reason lol, which I love. Not sure if the 90s were an influence but your layout and typography on the shirt puts me in a good place. One thing though.. your website is super crazy busy. Not an expert but i have been a web designer for 8 years in various agencies and a couple little things that could help you out. Just my opinion if you don't mind.
-the homepage- way too busy, its actually overwhelming to a point where I start to panic lol.
                      - get rid of all those tumblr, instagram, google + avatars. Use their already made icons for those media platforms either at the top or bottom of the page. They are kind of a distraction. Especially since they are posted twice in the middle and the top right hand corner
                      - Try to focus on one or two large high resolution pictures on your homepage for your clothing. THATS IT, being simple is easy and rememberable and for a website that is good!
                      - That awful serif font which looks like typewriter. It seems to get lost throughout the page. Try using a bolder san serif font which has a cleaner look and catches the eye more when put with images.

-really just try to stay away from clutter, just because its more doesn't mean it's better.

Not trying to pick at your site just giving some feedback to a brand I am really digging. Love your shirts and all the best luck to you and your brand!!

For the record you mentioned some one mocking or not understanding your brand.... then your brand is not for them. On to the next one!

i really appreciate your feedback, educated and helpful! i understand what you're saying i originally had it simplified but i wanted to go for a street magazine composition, Or if you've read a journal/gazette sometimes the templates are super busy with ads and different sections and stories where you really have to investigate each page, I like that idea, but you're right i could definitely clean it up a bit and maybe achieve that same effect, i have no background in web design, just learning on the job haha Thanks again for the help and support!

I know ive posted a lot about SS and shit on here, but other than launching our official website we will also be have magazine prints.

Our thing is to help a lot of upcoming and put them in the spotlight, but other than working with upcoming brands we want to work with upcoming artist. Whether they rap. photograph, paint, or whatever the fuck they do. We also want to work with somewhat bigger brands, which will also help younger brands in the sense of if someone buys an issue because a certain big brand is on it, theyll see your brand, your photography, or your art.

This was a sample i did, it was an 8 page spread, and Shane from Stay Dirty let me use his visuals for the Gaws collab. The actual magazine print will be utpto 26 pages. it will go up in time.

We are in the process of putting all these artist, brands photographers etc on these prints together to make our first official issue. If you or someone you know is interested feel free to email me: strictlystreetmag@gmail.com

Lol its clearly a fucking joke, they aren't dumb. The tee is funny because it says Bob Marley but its clearly Jimi Hendrix, its supposed to be humorous and make fun of society's obsession with Marley despite most peoples lack of knowledge of him or his music. I personally love it, wouldn't buy it but love it.

Started a project named Goon. Always enjoyed drawing and eventually got involved into a good amount of graffiti in my teens.  Aside from art I've always loved fashion and nice clean design. So I used what I knew to start this project with just stacks of old drawings and Adobe Illustrator. As for the name I chose Goon because its a slang term i've always used around friends and I was attracted to the idea of what a Goon represented. Someone who works hard at what they are good at so they can make ends meet. So far I have only produced 2 T's. I started with black and white out of necessity and I plan on branching out to the full color spectrum eventually. Any feedback is appreciated.
