I'm gonna go get some sample tees printed and I found a printer, but I don't know how I'm gonna bring my graphics for the shirt or how the process is gonna work can somebody tell me how the printers work and what should I bring to the printers shop.
The way ive experienced it is you can send it to them via email or in a usb, and you should have a template of how you want the sizing of the design printed on the tee. I emailed them my design (vector format) along with a template of how big i wanted the design to be printed on the tee, when i got there to place the order we reviewed specs of how big i wanted the design on the tee, the blanks we were using, inside tags and the color of the design and it all went well, just make sure to review everything before you leave it to them to print them because any little small detail that you leave out can mess it up. So id take take a USB with the design and template, that should do it. You should ask them the artwork requirements thoe, it its a vector design it or a high resolution photoshop design you shouldnt have a problem.

Hey Everyone,
I dropped my summer collection a couple of weeks ago and I thought I would post up here for some feedback. Let me know what you think

Bluu Dreams clothing is a nautical themed clothing company based out of Long Island NY. Our main logo/character is the old vintage looking deep sea diver. I choose the deep sea diver because I thought the concept of him searching of treasure at the bottom of the ocean was dope. I liked it so much I decided to base my company around the idea. I do this by releasing my clothing in limited runs as if it was treasure (once its gone, it doesn't get reprint for the web store) . Every collection I do comes with its own unique theme, hang tags, limited edition stickers and other surprises.

You can see the rest of the look book here

Shop / Twitter / Facebook / Instagram
Man, you've been dropping great stuff for a long time here in this thread and i can see that you are still getting better!

You are definitely bringing something new to the game, while there's a lot of people out there doing nautica themed stuff playing the same old song: anchors, ships...

It reminds me (in a good way) of Johnny Cupcakes' way of bringing fun and design variety to a single theme.

Do you have a team or BD is more of a one-man-brand? Garments and photos are great also.

Thanks man!
Another thing:

If your designs are graphic or typographic (not photos), remember to separate the different colours in different layers.

It will be much easier for the printer guy to handle and for you to possibly do some color variants.

You should also watch some Adobe Illustrator tutorials on YT to expand your creativity and work-quality.

So your saying I should make a different layer for every color I have on my graphic?
Yes. The printer will print on the shirt color by color. Normally, on traditional silk-screen process, the more colors your design have, higher the price.

Check this tutorial http://vector.tutsplus.com/tutorials/designing/super-slick-screen-printing-separations-with-illustrator/

You can see the whole design work and understand how to the sum of all layers can bring life to amazing graphics.

Wow! Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it. I'm happy to hear the brand reminds you of Johnny Cupcakes...in the good way lol. I would say Johnny Cupcakes, The Hundreds, BBC, Ice Cream and Bape are my biggest influences. I love how each brand has their own theme and made their own world out of it. Im currently trying to do the same thing while using my deep sea diver character.

PS Bluu Dreams is a one man band. I didn't go to school for art or anything but I always could draw. I taught myself how to use the design programs and everything has been moving in the right direction ever since.

Hey man, i was taking a closer look to your post and website to be able to give you honest and fair feedback

You just said that you are doing everything in your brand and this shows your bravery and entrepreneur spirit, but the audience feedback - while the work is still in progress - is very important for you to know where you actually have a chance to rock.

In your website, i counted 23 clothing pieces (and you promised there's more on the way). Considering that you are still in the first steps, don't think is a little much? Defining a smaller number of pieces, doing seasonal releases (summer/winter or spring/summer/autumm/winter) will bring a lot more design accuracy and quality to your clothes.

Your website is well-done, but the way you presented the clothes on it looks a lot like a bazaar/flea market. You know that feeling of seeing a lot of things, but nothing eye-catching?

If you take a time to read pages from this thread, you will notice that the designers who came up with with smaller collections had better feedback than those who appeared out of the blue with dozens of shirts and fleeces and hats. Why? Because when you have less pieces to drop, you can focus a lot more on details (tags, sewing, stickers, photo direction) and the audience can clearly understand what your brand is about.

Some minor considerations:

1 - It's about time for a logo!
2 - You wouldn't believe the amount of "illuminatti eye" designs this thread has seen.
3 - In your Illuminatti Eye shirt, the words "Hybrid" and "Clothing" have completely different curving, like they don't belong to the same circle.
4 - In the "Customer Photos" session of your website, there's a girl wearing "King kitty r00ler of the universe tank!". This design is eBay's cream of the crap. If you really designed this, search "king cat" on eBay and cry over the hundreds of dollars people are making with your art.

Wish you all the best!
