Yes, there is dtg (direct to garment) as well as heat transfers and screen printing with both uv (plastisol) and water based inks. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Google/t-shirt forums will give you all the additional info you need to decide which is the best for what you're doing.

...same ol' bullshit
idea: GOD / Game of Death
theory/statement: We all play the game, how do you play?

I was a bit shocked when I saw this. Now I'm all for the concept, sounds like some shit from game of thrones or something, thats fucking dope, excuse my french. But the design...like is this a joke? Is this like the rough rough of what you guys want or is this the final? I'm hoping this is just a brainstorm fart or something. But other than that, keep that concept but please...please change up this design and make it less of an eyesore that it is now. I dont like the skeleton thats copied and pasted on the pawn. That just seems too rushed and lazy. I think a pawn with half of a body being a skeleton and the other being the pawn itself would be a bit better. Sort of like those pawns from the first harry potter movie (go watch it when they playing chess). Try to get creative with it. For this kind of concept making a design that is a bit intimidating and harsh will be a perfect fit in my opinion since I think it fits with the concept of death being this god you have to fear. Then also the font could use some touching up, kind of give a midevil, handwriting feel to it (if that makes sense). Other than that good luck with your idea, hopefully you'll be able to put some time and effort into it and design some dope shit yo.

The Kanye Bear and Young Jeezy snowman logo on the back ruins the shirt. Should of kept the whole label thing going and used the good music angel and cte logo instead.

I'm probably going to be everywhere on this one. So mind the order I guess. But anyway...T.M.F...I went to the website, kind of disappointed in the fact that you guys havent updated the about page. I dont know about anyone else but I'm the kind of guy that likes to see what's the story behind the designs. I saw some of the pictures posted on the home page, they look nice, pretty good photographs. The logo is okay, still should use some work though, but since I dont know what it suppose to mean it seems, wierd. Anywho, I Click on "buy", and saw a fleet...no no no....an army of 1990 tees that are just in different colors. Nothing wrong having a variety laid for your customers, glad you guys are actually doing that. But guys....seriously who is designing these clothes? Because I want to an extensive conversation of what went throught his or her mind when they were desiging this. It's just a shirt that says 1990. It looks you guys typed 1990 on the computer put it on shirt and went to file, save, and done. Like, If I were to just randomly find your page and scroll through the clothes you have so far, I would just be in shock, it looks so beginnerish (not a real word). Like I litterally stopped when I saw the one mosque boyz tee and I asked myself why....this cant be...like there has to be an issue with the way came out or something because...how do you...put white text on a white shirt....without any kind of stroke being on there to make it stand out? Then the all mightly crewneck you guys or long sleeve shirt or whatever. I dont know what you guys were trying to do with having all these record label logos on a shirt, but I dont think that was good idea. The design is just too clustered and it doesnt mesh well and its just random. Like why rock-a-fella near the diplomats logo? Not to mention you probably can get sued just from using any of their logos on your clothing without putting your own twist into it or something. I dont know though, just guessing you could get sued. To move on from my disappointment because this crit is already long enough, You guys desperately need to rethink your layouts for designs. Not only that but also can a brother get some info on the brand? Like I dont know where you guys are from and I dont know what your trying represent with this brand. Im guessing west coast but then who knows you could be iraq for all I know. If your trying represent the hip hop generation, you guys need to kind of make it more apparent and give a description or some kind of little information on what your doing. Like Im not going to buy a hat or some 1990 shirts just because of the design. I dont know who would buy one these designs just because. Hopefully you guys take my word, or not it's your brand, I'm just giving my two cents. I hope you guys can figure out what to do for this brand, anything can be successful once you put thought, work, and love into it. I think if you guys just try to figure what you want to represent and explain or make it obvious what this design or this kind of products represents. Good luck my friend, wish you the best.

http://http://Basically, you have to have the origin of the materials/fabric used to make the shirt listed on the tag information. So let's say you have an Alstyle shirt that was Made in Mexico, but you screen-printed the shirt in LA. It still technically has to have the information on the tag that the materials used to make the shirt originated from Mexico. I think a good example of a 'legally-appropriate' tag would be something like "Shirt made in Mexico, Printed in the USA."

BUT that goes back to my original question. I'm asking how do these established brands and/or maybe even some of you guys get away with it? Is it because you print through your own screenprint machines so you don't have to deal with screen printing companies, or you guys just don't care? Cause according to Threadbird, they won't print for you unless you have that info on your tag. I honestly prefer just "Made in USA" or "Crafted in the US" compared to "Made from materials from China, Printed in the US".. which is why I asked the question in the first place.

More info found here:
http://business.ftc.gov/documents/bus21-threading-your-way-through-labeling-requirements-under-textile-and-wool-acts
I mean in all honesty, who's going to come hunt you down and be like "This shirt was made in Mexico, not the US. Here's a fine". I think you should at least cover washing instructions and where you are based or at least where you did most of the work for the shirts. For example, most of my HUF shirts ( older ones with woven labels in them) just say "Machine was cold, tumble dry, made in USA" It's short, simple, and at least lets the consumer know what to do and frankly I based our tags off of that. Now, with heat transfer labels/screen printed inside collar labels you have more options and have more words/symbols. But, I've noticed some brands try to do it but they come out too small or smudge and you can't even make out what they were trying to tell you. We all aren't on some serious level when it comes to running brands so I don't think people are going to try and fine us because our garments don't "legally" match what they want. Shit, a good majority of people don't even know that this is a law. For all we know people may have on their labels "Made in USA" but their labels could be made overseas, shirts from mexico, but screen printed here in the states and that's where their brand is based so that's how they will justify that. I've had our headwear labels made overseas but I didn't want to put made in usa on them because they weren't and I'm always going to have our shirt labels made in our country just because that's the proper thing to do.
Im pretty sure that if you put 51% of the cost into the shirt on american soil then you can say its manufactured in the US. So if you buy a shirt for $2, and then spend $1.00 on labels that you got made in the states and another $1.20 to have some american worker sew the tag on the shirt, plus the print, then you have spent more on the shirt in america to make it your product. Then you can say its made in America.

No not at all, similar in name I suppose but didn't find out about them until a year having my brand, wasn't going to change the name because something might be similar. No shots taken, but I'm not a fan of how they run their brand and talk to their customers. Selling high priced items then never shipping them to the people who bought their stuff.

http://thedividedminds.com/

Jun 25, 2013 @ 17:43
And on another note, it doesn't matter if you're selling clothes for $10 or $100 or get 1 order a week or 50, always ship out your products in a timely manner. People bought them, they want their stuff. Same goes to just running your brand. If you say something is going to be released at a certain time then release it at that time. Not an hour early or a day early just because you can. People like to know when exactly they can get certain items from you. Of course, you may say releasing on this date but something comes up and you have to push it back, no biggie, work on being good with your timing on the next release. Customer service is key and being friendly. A lot of these smaller brands have the potential to blow up and some have but their customer service is shit. People still buy their stuff because of hype, which is ok I guess, but for me I like knowing if I purchase something that the quality will be there and I will get it within a week from my purchase. Little things like that can make a difference in the long run.

Um....this brand...seems to be just ok. You got some good things going on and some bad things going on. First off, the bad things. I'm going to give you a quick lecture on your meaning. I believe there are other brands that have this sort of fun lifestyle, breaking shit, getting pussy or prey kind of meaning you guys said. In my opinion it's a bit wierd to make a brand then you actually put out your shit then people are going to be calling you a carbon copy of some other brands. To go on with brands that have similar to the same kinds of meanings as you guys are Livevil and Primitive. Here's an article you guys can read about the first one http://www.daily49er.com/opinion/livevil-clothing-company-nope-just-profiteering-vandals-1.2682540#.Uco6d1deGf0. Second thing, (which is the good thing I guess) your designs are just ok as well, nothing to bring home to mom ya know. The Family crest tee is ok, nothing else I can really say, its a crest. The mountain view tee is bit wierd, but it's ok. Now the two I dont like are the Hunter Club tee and the Grammer Class Tee. Now to begin with the Hunter Club tee, its a bit confusing to me. Mainly because of the font, since I'm a fucking idiot, I'm not going to be able to tell that "n" in Hunt from an "r". And since I'm an idiot there are plenty more idiots out there. Then having the logo right near it looking as if it's a period or something seems wierdly laid out. You can get more creative with that shit, try to use that font they used for the movie drive, think that will be beast, or find something with a similar touch. Now the Grammer Class tee, I see what you guys are trying to do, some cute shit by the way, but make it clear. If you guys want to make this chalkboard effect you're going to need to make it look more legit and the way I see it the text seems to be squished up like the words dont complete themself yet they start on the next line. Make it look like it's actually written on a chalkboard. For this I reccommend actually using handwriting to make it look more legit. Yes it may not come out clean but doing this will give it that effect. Other than that, i guess try to do something a bit different to the meaning of the brand, give it your own twist instead of making it sound like some kind of white boy, odd future kind of shit, unless you guys want that, I dont know. Other than that good luck with your surfer brand...thing.
