I am wondering what your guys's thoughts are with promoting your brand. It's hard for me because it's just me and I live in the middle of no where. What would you suggest?

Atomic First T shirt obviously this looks just like obey shirt but for the first couple of shirt this is what we are doing because it is clean simple and it looks fresh.

any thoughts?
You and I and both know that shit isn't fresh.

People have been saying it for over a year now, but it apparently needs to be repeated: retire the box logo. Aeterna at least put some effort into their box logo shirt, you didn't do shit.

I've only seen one shirt from Atomic, and I already hate it. This is your brand's first impression on me. You don't want to make a bad first impression. Why would you drop bad stuff first?

^^ I had to laugh a youngkings' comment.

Atomic -- if you know you are just copying someone else style, why would you think people would want to buy it? All everyone is gonna say is, "look another copy of obey, which btw copied off of supreme"...

Besides the fact that OBEY is a fucking piece of shit dirtbag, who has plagiarized from a bunch of people without giving them at least their mention.

www.highwaysco.us -- for some fucking reason, you must use the www. idk why fml.

Yeah i under everyone  but first thing i've done and i done a box logo because its easy to cut out when using a heat transfer method made at home, getting some of this designs printed by a company so it wont be heat transferred

still not good but yh - and by the way im not planing on selling unless someone wants to buy one just posted the design here to get criticized on it and hopefully able to get some good designs.

Yo @atomic- , take it from me, from posting some of my "ideas" on here i've learned that quality work comes with time, and doing what everyone has done isn't gonna get you good feedback (trust me),  you've posted two different products in like 10 minutes, same shit i was doing. If you're gonna post it at least keep away from saying shit like "still not good" thats just telling everyone on here that you dont really have confidence in what your posting and you may know it sucks, you gotta realize that no one on here is waiting for you to put up your next product, so you have all the time in the world to sit down and come up with your own shit , your own designs, and your own styles, if anything create your own trend instead , im telling you this to prevent you from going through the same shit i went through , i still have a lot to learn and it will take me a while to come up with some real good shit that i can credit to myself , so i think you should do the same

@minsct The product is dope and well designed but the photography is super amateur and the fact that you spelled lookbook wrong on your collection ad is embarrassing
Ya, we do all the photography ourselves and the 'loobook' stuff made me laugh for sure. Still makin mistakes along the way! Organic growth.

What do you guys do when you have a design ready to print, and then later you see a bigger known brand post a preview of the same concept?

I've done the same thing a few times.. just kept them to myself.

It just shows you've got a good head for design if you are thinking of similar things as the bigger guys, shows you got potential. At least that's what I tell myself lmao

Preview of some designs I have been working on recently. Feedback is much appreciated.

I've ordered blanks, now I'm trying to figure out what prints would work best.

Or click http://i1324.photobucket.com/albums/u605/Roscoe_Grand/preview_zps01bca7d5.jpg  for a bigger preview.

The afro girl thing doesn't really fit in with the rest in my opinion.

To be completely honest, the only reason I'm even liking this brand is the apparent work that's been put into pieces 1, 2 and 4(not knocking the other 3, just saying these obviously have more work in them). They're not really my style, but the level of detail is pretty cool.

And, in all fairness, Supreme jacked it from Barbara Krueger. The box logo's been stolen since the start.

This shit happens way too fucking much for me. Prime example, I was looking at old helmet graffiti from the 70's(a family friend that served was showing me his, pretty cool shit) and went "You know what would be cool? An all over pattern shirt of this shit". I put in hours remaking the camouflage pattern they had back then, and was writing up some graffiti for it, trying to figure out what all I wanted(including shit like the BOMB 'EM peace sign and tour calendars or just drug references). I was so fucking hyped. I loved that shit. I felt like I finally had a really cool idea.

Looking up some more images of helmet graffiti for inspiration, I found this shit:

Erik Brunetti had the same idea as me, 3 years earlier. The thing is, I don't even really like Fuct. There was no way I saw this shit a while back and was just remembering it as my own idea.

Streetwear is the largest hivemind I've ever seen. We're all looking at similar places for inspiration, we're all coming to similar conclusions. Shit, I've had ideas that would be in my notebook for months, just to see a big brand(Supreme, if you were wondering) put out a product that was so close to mine, I couldn't put out mine without be accused of biting. The shit's crazy.

Edited for spelling and shit, because I'm a basic bitch.

@minsct good job, I didn't notice the little details right away like the meat cleaver and the knife prints at the back. The pieces look well-constructed too.

as soon as you have an idea put that shit into play because 20 other people are thinking it and someone is about to do it.
I've had a bunch of ideas, later done by other brands. I kicked myself in the ass and was mad i never released the product. Hall of Fame LTD. also had the same idea that i had, but i dropped mine first so they switched up the design once they put up a preview and i called them out on it via: instagram.

The thing is, we are all in the same genre of fashion and we are all looking at the same things for inspiration. It's hard to show you're different in streetwear when we look for the same things to inspire us. It's not what you do sometimes or who did it first, but rather, who did it the best and who did it last. IMO
