Starting a company not sure about the name
So two years ago my friends and i started a filming company for skateboarding and snowboarding and we called it Butterstickinc and after everyone telling us to make t shirts and stuff we started to and we just kinda kept the name butterstickinc. what do you guys think of the name of the company? Its basically streetwear/skateboarding/snowboarding/skiing clothing.

Ppl paint immediate pictures in their heads that relate directly to the name of your line so that's something to think about.

I dunno, if you like the name then stick with it but I personally don't think I'd be able to take the brand very seriously. That actually could be a good thing though since a lot of skate/ski/snow brands are kind of like that too.

So i'm starting a new line called "Mighty Evil". No promotion, no designs, I don't care about that right now... I need feedback on what do you guys want and need to see from a brand in terms of customer service, pricing, shipping, and how would you like to see me reach out to you in terms of promotion?

I think most people will agree that they like names that they can relate to. I don't know if Butter Stick would be one of those things. I think something with Bacon would be better than Butter. In all seriousness, I would think of another name, not to say that you should change the name of your filming company.

Just out of curiosity how many of you guys with these brands do it to make a living. Does anyone make good money with these smaller companies? Are you paying for your schooling, extra pocket change, an artistic avenue or do you pay your rent with your clothing company?

I'm not trying to hate or disrespect, I am just genuinely curious.

Right now, I'd say its an artistic avenue, a challenge, and a taste running a business. I'm in no means swimming in money, but what does come in is all reinvested back into my business in order for it to grow!

that's what i've seen on this side as well. all the money made from the business is just put back into the business at this stage.

i like the never let the dream die shirt btw, it's clean.

i kinda see what you're saying about that. the quality of the shirts are still excellent though. so damn comfortable.
