to kitelifeco, bro you can't be serious, I really hope you are not spending your hard earned money or maxing out your credit
cards to launch your "company"

most of the brands on here seem recycled with the logos, about me "oh my brand is a lifestyle, blah blah blah so buy my expensive overpriced shirt" and the photography(model holding snapback bill with one hand while looking down type shit), the funny part is that almost all of you are trying to start like if you guys been established and in the game for years, trying to make make a living off this, selling tshirts for $25+, hoodies for $50+ for an unknown brand? lol. If I were you guys I would start it for fun, sell the t-shirts at the cost, fk it $5 dollar tees, you guys will have more success by doing that!

It's not a "company" just a brand... I don't think anyone could sell a $5 shirt it would be more of a gift cause the shirt itself is like $7-$10 but i dont see $20-$25 as bad considering anything under $20 is labeled "cheap" and who wants to feel undervalued. I'm in agreement and it's all in fun for me but i want to improve and work at it till is becomes paying fun. I only spend $$ on fabrics for my own shirts which are all cut & sew since  most of what's seen on here is ink on shirts and i realized that I want my brand to be more then that. I think those type of prices would be seen as suitable or more fair if its more then just cotton with ink on it; things like lamb skin, snake skin, silk, lycra/wool  etc.
u must have some tough skin to get bashed on your designs everyday and keep coming back for more. maybe you should try posting your designs on another forum like a weed forum and see what they have to say.
yeah in my line of work (audio engineering) opinions and bashing is an everyday thing. cause it can always be better, in my opinion. I have done so but i haven't found as highly an active forum as this. I'm still searching for the right places to promote to reach my target market. none the less i'm going to keep post and working on it till i finally "get it right".

I have gone back a couple pages to see what this thread has become and a lot of you guys need some help...

1st presentation.... Stop posting mockups on those dingy look shirts...... And in your look book don't wear another brands clothing..

For instance some dude posted hats but had on a diamond shirt that made me forget about your hats and think diamond supply...

And some dude posted a lookbook... That just looked like a Pyrex ripoff.... Had the overly gothic font... And styling was horrible and fitting was off.. Dude looked like he was 35 year old teacher but I'm suppose to believe you wear tights with your timbs? And he had Pyrex shorts on also...

Then it's also not the best idea to post your clothing in this thread because of google... If you post enough and somebody googles your brand name this thread will pop up... Which to me If I'm a customer would take away from the brand since I can see you asking other people for help and what they think...

And somebody asked abou exposure.... At first I thought if its good everybody will just flock to it .... NO THAT IS A LIE..... Just because you have a cool shirt does not mean everybody will like it and come ready to spend money... People have to see the product a lot!!!

Take your self out of the normal 17-21 year old mind for a second.... When you were a kid you wanted Pokemon because why? It was everywhere...

But also with street ware people like to keep it limited so 1 way is to have it everywhere but have it so nobody can get it... May sound stupid but it has worked for mostly every rand you lookup to..

I read bale started out with 25 ts gave 20 away and sold 5.... People saw other people with it wanted it but it was always sold out and that created a demand...

The dude who made fubu started with like 3 shirts and would ask a rapper to take a picture in it then ask for the shirt back....

Rappers in Clothing kids eat it up which creates a demand....

It's about creating a demand for the product don't over do your goals ...

Think smart.....

What happen to Angelo? And does aldente(Eric) even post anymore? Hahah looks like all the good guys left before the storm

Alive -- really clean and simple look/font. I like it bro. One thing with the logo, I would make it a bit larger, other than that you are set.

Alive -- just checked out your site and your other products come off as rips of other well known brands. I like the 5 panel but I wouldn't fuck with none of the other stuff.

Looks like something from New Generation.... Am I right?  If not, please shoot me a PM and I'd like to possibly trade some sources with you (if you're interested in doing so...)

EDIT:  After looking at previous posts, your logo does seem very similar to "alife", but I think by switching your font a little bit, you should be alright.  It doesn't help when the two names are VERY similar, but something as little as changing your font could make all the difference.  Maybe even hand draw your logo and then work with it in Illustrator.

Thanks for the responses so far, all designs are done entirely by us. The Patch is going to be a 5x3 patch in the final rather then the 4 x 2 in that picture! dropping in about 2-3 weeks time. Wasn't aware of this Brand "alife" logo is shaped a bit differently however that's not our only logo! we've got a handrawn script which we use for most things. It's jsut a simple block font so it may look a bit similair to other things of course!
Peace

Hi there,
It's not New generation I'm afraid! and we've got a handrawn script Logo as well! this Logo won't be used on everything it's purely just for the 5-panels :3

Yo! Hope everyone is doing well. I'm 17 and I run a brand named "Memoir."  I'm inspired by elements  from  traditional workwear + the Asian aesthetic which are incorpated in the garments produced. At the moment our start run has only been a few months but the concept was long in hold internal in preparance to launch. I try to consider  many  aspects before an item is actually run through the factory.

All I hope is for you lovely people to take a look at our point of view. I'm so happy for all the rad young dudes getting in to the fashion business early! Congrats to everyone on the thread and never give up.

Keep pushing!
smile

Photos from our Recent Broken Bank Winter/Spring 2013 Collection Look Book
having band-aids for the elbow patches on the letterman is kinda cool, but really childish at the same time.

also, what's up with all the unprofessional subdomains? You've got an actual domain, don't use a .wordpress.com blog. Use subdomains or some shit, so it's blog.brokenbankclothing.com. And, about Wordpress, I'd use Tumblr instead, for the sheer exposure it offers. But, that's me, not you, so whatever.

Extremely pretentious, especially considering you have one t shirt with some text in a box

Some of the stuff here is crazy good, figured I might as well post what I've been kind of working on, Get Ahead, I've wanted to start a brand of some kind for a long time and decided to finally actually take some steps towards doing it, blah blah blah.

Here's the first decent (I think) design I've come up with, US Flags/ Axes have been used before but this is something I'd buy, rips/ new takes of designs are my favourite kind of designs, probably because of the amount of bands that do it on their T shirts.

Anyway, with that in mind I wanted to use something that references something recognisable or some shit so yeah, kind of like a Polo US Sweater, also w/ Onyx, the Nirvana font.

Feel free to entirely slate the whole thing.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some feedback. I'm in the very early stages of designing and want to know if I'm on a good track. In case you're wondering, I have received permission from the copyright holders to use the images. Thanks
