haha, you must not know me. Far from a dick move. There is a fine line between honesty and coming off as a dick. If that's what I came off as then it prob. applies to you. A lot of us dug deep for answers to just let go of all our info. I've helped people in the past, but lately mad people are coming on this forum with far from original ideas and asking for basic info, ie: what kind of shirts do you guys print on? what program can i use to design? how can i make a logo? etc. etc.

A lot of us here are very honest and direct with eachother and help eachother out with giving opinions and guidance. Not hand outs.

Don't get it twisted, I'm not being a dick. I'm just speaking from someone who worked hard to find out what I know so far. I have friends who are HUGE in this industry and have yet to ask them for resources.

I agree. Im not a big fan of answering questions one can easily find with a quick google search. If you really have to ask on the forum and not take the time to do your own research.. it is a sign that maybe you should reconsider what you are planning on doing. If research and planning arent your strong points then this might no be for you. Just my humble opinion.

Agreed. This ain't a design/marketing 101 thread. Besides,brand/quality of tee are based on budget and target audiences. Building a successful brand takes a lot of time & is more than just "printing something on a tee"

Hey guys - we're kinda in a tight spot. We're willing to pay for sources for:

Camp caps with custom fabric, labeling, packaging.
Blank tee manufacturing/ labeling
(cheapish) tee printing that lets you use your own shirts
Places that will sow on pockets that are custom fabric.
Places that will make tees out of custom fabric
Custom fabric makers.

We'll pay a good enough price if it goes through and all works well. Message on HB or email us (princessesandpresidents@gmail.com).

Find us at www.princessesandpresidents.com

you in the wrong biz then....take a look at all the brand lookbooks...season to season...they all incorporate whatever is currently trending....that's how they stay relevant and move units.

this biz is not the way some of you want to believe it is.....

Part of the fun of this industry is researching and learning from the ground up. Just today i got a reply from a company i emailed a while back and learnt so much through just inquiring, also speaking to local independent stores can be a good way to learn too !

Thanks for the interest in my brand ! Appriciate the support!! Our brand is heavily influenced by skulls, biker style and military aesthetics. We are still working on the 13/ss collection and testing the brand's website at the backend. If you or anyone here is interested in beta testing my site, please email me at info @ rare1.ca. Our website is mobile responsive ( layout capable of adapting to different devices with varied screen sizes and resolutions) so any smart phones/tablets would be able to browse our site without a problem

Oct 04, 2012 @ 01:06
@hkeys just checked out your website. your name seems like a mix of divinities and Freedminds, the latter being pretty well known for odd future fans. Freedminds already got the pyramid idea and released a shirt AND keychain with the same font/ colors that says "PLEASURE" like a year ago. Your designs aren't bad but that shit turns me away considering its almost a direct copy.
Oct 04, 2012 @ 01:17
Does anyone F with this shirt ?(Invalid img) Go to Link If the picture isn't showing up. Basically, I'm 15 going on 16 and into fashion. Streetwear specifically. I'm trying to create a brand that isn't some microsoft paint triangle illuminati typical indie brand bullshit. This is easier said then done, though. Tell me your thoughts on the tee with just the white ink. My first shirt would need to be one color to save that $. Also, to see if this is a total fail, I still have some money (and pride). Clearly the image in inspired from the Sacramento Kings logo. The logo outline was used for most of the image. Tell me your honest thoughts, and any ways to keep away from becoming a wack wannabe brand. Thanks !
Oct 04, 2012 @ 01:17
@brightsupply Yeah I came across that brand a few months ago. Our Pleasure shirt was one of the first ones we made, only because we liked the font. Can't say they copied us and we certainly didn't copy them because we didn't know bout em. The only thing similar is our names which suck. Not much you can do there. As far as Pyramids go, not really a fan of those since everyone's doing them, the DMFL design is a M not a Pyramid. But all things aside their brand is nice, but horrible customer service from what I've read. No hate.

There is a difference between starting a trend and following & running a trend to the ground.

And you can follow trends, just do it with some integrity. The new trend "high fashion"..... I've seen in Miami 3 new brands emerge with the "Givenchy influence" within the last month. That's what i mean by trend surfers.
