I see what you're saying, but I think Aldentes one is a lot more cleaner ? I think the fact the both have bunny ears, would make people think about the similarities automatically, but in my own unique opinion, I prefer the Aldente one, its a lot more cleaner and it fits nicely on the center

* Also, it doesn't take up as much space which I think is great too. I'd suggest Aldente branch off a bit from that design next time though to avoid more comparisons

it's actually a re-appropration of Richard Prince's "Skull Bunny"

Similar to FUCT though. I'm inlove with the image.

Thanks.

That first joint will sell better, but I'm really digging the second one. Both are really solid though.

i actually wish this wasnt a complete rip of prince's image, would have liked it better if it i was at least modified because you have used his image as your main logo which im not big on, its not even like one design but rather it has become your symbol..

Where do you guys draw the line between a respectful design influnced/using others graphics or ideas or a blatant rip off?

Lately I have noticed many brands use ideas or even designs and go unnoticed while some brands get put on blast.
Some examples of what I am talking about are Mishika's Simpson's shirts or Fuct's Ford logo

This is obviously based on different opinons so there will be different answers

IF IT'S DONE IN A TASTEFUL MANOR THEN GO WITH IT.... SUPREME HAS BASED MANY OF THEIR DESIGNS OF RIPS.

ITS NOT WHAT YOU DO BUT HOW YOU DO IT.

REMEMBER NO IDEA IS ORIGINAL.

IF YOU DO SOME RESEARCH YOU'LL SEE THAT MANY BRANDS HAVE COPIED EACHOTHER ONE TIME OR ANOTHER.

IF YOUR INTERESTED I'LL GRAB SOME PICTURES AND POST THEM LATER SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT I MEAN.

ALTHOUGH IT'S WACK FOR A BRAND TO BASE THEIR LINE OF RIPPING SHIT, I THINK ONCE AND A WHILE IT'S COOL IF ITS DONE RIGHT.

Sensative subject.
No real answer to this because some will say "you are not being creative" while some will say "That's a cool flip"

While some may just change a little to a already well used and established design and gain success, other will be called copy cats and biters.

You'll also get the response "Well (insert big name brand here) has done why can't I?"

But in the end. If you can do it without being noticed great, if you get noticed then just be prepared to answer for yourself if you choose to or not.
I only see it as a issue when you use a already TM logo and flip it a little and use it as your logo.
Influenced designs and blatant copy is hard topic....

Fair Use, Derivative Work and Transformative Use are all words that come in to play on this subject. Something have looked into very deeply as I have some stuff I am working on that fits this category...

A SKULL IS A SKULL HOWEVER YOU LOOK AT IT.

HOWEVER, WITH THAT BEING SAID, RP'S SKULL IS AN OPEN NOSE, ODDLY SHAPED EYES, A SPLIT IN THE CRANIUM AND HIS JAW AND TEETH ARE DIFFERENT.

IT'S LIKE IF SOMEONE PAINTED PICTURE OF A BASKETBALL SHAPED LIKE A HEART AND THEN YEARS LATER I LOVE BASKETBALL AND LOVE HEARTS SO I PUT THEM TOGETHER FOR A LOGO.

I ACTUALLY DREW UP MY OWN VERSION INSTEAD OF USING HIS DRAWING AS MY LOGO.

I GET WHAT YOU MEAN. BUT THERES PERSONAL MEANING AS TO WHY I CHOSE A PLAYBOY BUNNY WITH A SKULL. IT'S MORE THAN JUST A DRAWING.

I'VE SEEN YOUR T SHIRTS AND IT'S LIKE ME SAYING: YO, EVERY BRAND HAS USED MICKEY HANDS IN A DESIGN. OR PRINTED PICTURES OF HALF NUDE WOMEN... I'M ONE OF THEM GOOGLE * AL DENTE CO X FRANCESCA FRIGO*

THAT WAS THE FIRST SHIRT I PRINTED AND SHE WAS A PLAYMATE. WHICH HAS SOME REASONING FOR MY PLAYBOY SKULL. ;)

THERES A REASON FOR EVERYONES MADNESS.

This is a shot of one of the shirts I created. (have a few more styles including camo and american flag). Looking for a little feedback on if you think a design like this would sell or not. I have about 120 of them already created.
