yes for more detailed with will need something other then screenprinting i am wondering the same thing...how to get photos printed onto a shirt.....

you can host your story with bigcartel ...shopify and alot of others

halftone (consist of dots to make shadows. The bigger the dots the darker the print, smaller more spread dots make shades and greys)

index printing (4-6 screens color separated to make colors from mixtures of the basic colors CYMK. The arrangements of the dots will make shadows and what not. Online companies can be paid to make these separations for you and for cheap depending on who you go with. Most printers will charge you $45+ a hour for art fee's for something like this. Better to outsource)

DTG (unlimited colors. Only limited to what ink the printer takes. No bright colors, glow in the dark and fluorescent colors either)

Thanks for all of the feedback i really appreciate it!

I am really not trying to bite any other brand, Im honestly just putting my headphones on and just letting my mind go to work....

I do see similarities in that bloodbath tee but honestly Im just trying to design interesting tees and if I worry about other brands having slightly similar tees ill never be able to produce anything...

So far so good, PM me when you drop that leaves one.

Peep our website...

www.GULLYSTEEZ.com

I know you already blowin' up and all but why do you still leave the Alstyle tag in your shirts or was that just a missed oull tag

Question guys is it better to get custom tags for the shirt or is it better to get the size, material etc on the back of the shirt printed on.

I'd say start with printing your washing info on the inside of collars, saves ordering labels which generally have high minimums, saves labour costs and you can get away with making up one screen and masking out rings around each size.

Very True.

We're not blowing up at all right now but we are working on getting our tags printed. We're definitely not 100% legit until we have that sorted out.

Thanks for the input.

get that ASAP dude. Or at least tear that outer AAA tag if you are using the tear away blanks. You don't want people to know that kind of info. First thing they;ll think is the brand is cheap and maybe even lazy.
It's something really small but can add a better feel to the consumer. At least he won't feel ripped off if he knows you are getting the shirt for $1-2.50 and turning around and selling it for $25-30 just because you added a design to it. Feel me?

You're absolutely right..thanks!

Working on building my brand outside my typically market, which has been freestyle skiing.

Just launched the Collective Cables, which are unique woven textile iPhone cords.

I know the new iPhone will have a different port, and already planning for that. Millions of people will still have an Apple product with the 30-Pin connector.

Let me know your thoughts!

This is looking really cool! Very original too btw, cause all brands that make accessoires for apple are just making sleeves for their device and this is just really refreshing!

hi there,
i'm into pocket tees, but a bit bored of the same camouflage and ethnic patterns that pop up over and over again. So I did this photographic pattern on my own. The dyeing process is quite time-consuming as it is done manually, so every print is slightly different and unique.

Thankful for any thoughts on this!

Looking for some input from some of the more established brands on here.. Have any of you had success($ales) with paying/sponsoring local celebs to wear your clothes? Do you sponsor musicians or athletes, and if so is it converting to sales?

Over the past year we have talked about it a few times, and given out a few things to local people who have some following but I dont think its really done a whole lot in terms of actual conversion to sales. Sure its good for hype, but im interested on actual conversion. I get emails weekly from people wanting sponsorships. Some of them being pretty decent artists from the states, im just not sure if it would be worth me sending a box of goods to the states where no one knows the brand.

I'd love to hear stories from some of you guys on whats worked and hasnt worked for you. I also enjoying talking with other brand owners so feel free to PM.

People ask on this forum every day for free info on sources... It amazes me how many people think all this info should be free and easy for them to access.

Not trying to boast here, but it took me over 8 months to find my first legit factory, none of that middle man american shit where they charge ~$12 for hats and have tons of limitations and shitty customer service.. Instead of saying "no fck off with asking" etc, I offer to share my source for a price. I dont really see an issue with someone asking for compensation to share info they worked hard to get. No one makes money by doing things for free, and were all in this game to make money are we not?

So if I told you I have info on a silk screen printer who charges 2.05 for a 4 color print which also includes a 5x5 logo on the back, and additional .95 for inside label (low min. 24)

Should I charge to pass this info on to other people just because I found it and they didn't?

Whatever dude. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who wants to have a company should be able to have one and be able to establish a presence without too much of a hassle. I know people say streetwear is a community and a competition, but why does it had to be a competition? I know people have to make a profit, but can't we all just get along, collaborate, and share with eachother? Doesn't that make more sense? I have been searching for a manufacturer for a really long time (about a year now), and everyone I come across asks for upwards of 100 dollars. That seems like a pretty steep price, especially when you have no idea about the persons reputability, and whether or not they are going to actually give you the information that you need or want. I really hope one day people can learn to help out and support smaller companies that are just starting. I really do.

I have asked this question to my self many times. I've too gotton tons of emails asking for sponsorships from talented musicians. I personally think, if they have a fan base, go for it. I plan on contacting a talented local artist. He's good, and he puts music videos out monthly with 30k views and has a fanpage with over 7k likes. That means, when he tweets or posts about it, it's going to over 7k fans that personally like him, and when it's in a music video, over blahblah will see it.

In my opinion, go for it if they have a fanbase

Thanks for the feedback. That's my fault for presenting small pictures but on the back are phrases both of the team's fan base use. Hopefully that will help distinct the two when I present them to the crowd I'm selling to.

Pretty much some "starter" brands think you are going to "jack" their customers and steal their sales so they want a piece of the money you are "possibly" going to be taking away from them before it even happens.

Makes no sense to me either but oh well.

I can understand something like 2 bucks. That's actually reasonable. I've been looking for a while now, and I would really appreciate it if anyone could PM me any 5 panel manufacturer info.

Hey all,

Been hanging around the forums for a short time now and have finally got my stuff up and running so thought I would post it up on here to get a little feedback. It is a pretty simple range to start with as we wanted to get comfortable with all the processes of creating/ordering product before we went into more depth with it.

We are a based out of Melbourne, Australia

All feedback/support is much appreciated.

Without "too much of a hassle"? So basically you're saying everything in life, and business, should just come to you, and you not work for anything? You have got to be kidding me.

---

Im all for collaborating with other brands and helping each other further one another. And i don't think others would steal sales from it. Its the fact that, why should i just run around everywhere, shouting out all of my info on a forum where i know no one? In the local community, and people i have personal relationships with, i actually do share information like that. Working together on something, or towards something is always a positive situation. But that doesnt mean one should share their info with every fricking person they come across.
