ehh true, but you barely ever see the good TNF shit around the city. You usually just see basic black fleeces and recon backpacks. I have yet to see two of the same pata fleeces around. Every patagonia i've seen has been different.

The thing I dislike about Patagonia is the lack of tech involved with the construction of their garments. Don't get me wrong, they use superb textiles like any of the name brand designers, they just lack the user input.

How are you going to design a full goretex jacket with 1 pocket? I mean cmon, 1 pocket really? I'm rocking a TNF proshell (freethinker2) and although I have tons of arcteryx, I still find the TNF to be the most form fitting, user friendly tech jacket out there.

I only buy tech gear, top of the line tech gear too and actually put them to hard core use. I've been drenched on my TNF proshell, I've hiked in all of my arcteryx gear, and I've climbed in both. I still have issues with Arcteryx (specifically Theta AR/SV) again with single pockets or zero interior pockets.

Marmot and Mountain Hardware Pro leaves much to be desired - I cop when on sale for softgoods.

Overall, TNF has been at the top of my list for all shells simply because of pocket placement and is priced ultra competitively within the Goretex market. You really can't beat that if you ask me.

Arcteryx hands down best climbing gear, packable shells that have proven rip-proof. I've had a biner snag a hoop on my teryx and it still held me down.

yea them shits are bullet proof haha best shell hands down ever over free thinkers. tnf also has some of the warmest out

i used my gotham jacket all winter never got cold once no need to bust out the steep techs or 700 fills

hyvent is strong enough to be durable and tnf has perfected the hyvent

I got the Gotham too. By far the best winter jacket I have ever owned. Warm as fuck and will always keep you dry.

I go North Face if I want something lighter. All their shells and rain-jackets are the best.
And yeah, everyone does have the same damn Denali fleece, but every once in a while, I do see someone with a Summit Series jacket. And Summit Series > all other jackets.

I prefer TNF's more urban look but I don't own any TNF, only Patagonia. Plus you can never go wrong with a Synchilla fleece.

My mom used to work at The North Face and now she's a quality control engineer at Patagonia. I been gettin this shit for free all my life.

I only like TNF's backpacks now. Patagonia is so unique. They also strive to keep it environmentally friendly, if you care lol. Their Nanopuff and R2 styles are my fav. The Nanopuff is expensive but it's so light, and the R2 is so soft.

Most of the free stuff I get is from the "puppy sales" though, where they're kinda like samples or maybe something is wrong with them. I haven't noticed anything wrong except they like snip the tag and put a red marking on it. But she still gets a fat discount on anything else. I'm thinkin about selling a lot of my stuff.

And yo I've never even heard of Arcteryx...the fuck is that shit

correct me if im wrong, but isnt steep tech made by tnf? and, for me, arc'teryx has the best fit so i prefer it over all others. and tnf needs to stop using that hyvent shit, its fucking terrible.
