U have a few option for 500.. They wont be the best quality but they will look good after u get it tailored.. I would go with DKNY, CK, J.Crew(best option), brooks brother... Theres a few option for you. But the most important part is going to a GOOD tailor and get the fitting perfect..

H&M was the best for cheap I found

I tried going Alfani and the big brands but even their 36S was too puffy

I think H&M's suits look far too casual. I agree with Scotty, a good tailor is the important thing.

i got one recently at this place called tristan america. my suit with tax was like 430 cdn, with a 77 gift card towards the next purchase. the suit was a nice modern fit, really fitted, in a gray colour, with a slimmer collar.

yeah they are no RL/CK/Boss but mine has done me well. i might be looking to upgrade to jcrew or something. i heard they got nice slim ones. all the big brands are too fat (even their slim sizes... i tried on 36s jacket from CK and Alfani - too big... and im not even that skinny sigh)

Club Monaco's Wright Fit suit is really nice. Right around $500.

If you can dig the classic Mod "suit" check out Merc tonic suits. I had one a couple years ago, the material and cut was on point.
Also, I have been taking an interest to this website and its services
