fashion is subjective

Yup. Having good style is about wearing what works for you, not copying others to fit in.

its all subjective...thats the beauty

Since I'm an ill individual, I'll share some gold.

Beauty, and taste might be in the "eye of the beholder". But symmetry is universally known to be beautiful. So the material, the colors and the cut, needs to be in harmony.

To me, good fashion is quality (well made design and fabrics) with a personal twist. The latter being the most important thing, and what defines you.

is the op really asking about fashion or does he actually mean style? to me fashion is just what you see on the runway and what the designers shit out and make you think is the "new thing." personally i think style is more important than fashion.

fashion is an art form and like any art, it's subjective...

This. Fashion is very personal. Develop your own aesthetic, your own style. It can be very expressive.

It's not what you wear but how you wear it. You could wear K-mart shirts and dunlop volleys and if you rock it with confidence who the fuck is someone else to say you look shit.

To me since everyone has different tastes its just looking comfortable in what you're wearing, not trying too hard. like everyone has a different look and I see skaters some who I think got style, I see runners who got the gear down, same with hikers, bball players, businessmen, hipsters, etc

Same with music like who am I to say metal sucks just because I don't like it? we all got different tastes

To me its a mix of wearing what you like while looking sharp and feeling comfortable. To look sharp you gotta have good taste. Brands matter only to an extent, I think its more about taste and expression.

Sorry, my post above was an answer to this quote.

Good Fashion is timeless and never trendy.

Meaning, can that oxford shirt stand the test of time? Or will be like Ed Hardy was fade away for good after 3 seasons.
