Check Zara. They are located in many malls. They have relatively stylish designs that are much cheaper than most designer brands. If you are looking for nice style at an affordable price it is a good place to start.

Second hand + a good tailor will keep you under $200. I only have one decent fitting suit (pinstripe Givenchy) right now, it does need a proper tailoring though. I picked up a black YSL suit for $15 the other week, it is a monster though, definitely needs tailoring, and it looks kinda dated, but it may come in handy if a themed event comes up. Right now I'm on the hunt for a nice 3 or 4 piece light blue pinstripe joint, new or used, and I almost had one(2 piece, some whatever brand), but that shits had a narst stain on the pants, super bummed as it was only $25 and required little to no tailoring.

Got a question here. I really don't like dress shoes for the most part, outside of wingtips, so I'm wondering, what goes well with suit? I have been rocking DBs on the rare occasion that I need to wear my suit, but I don't like how the pants sit on them.

For the most part you're GOING to have to wear dress shoes with a suit man. There's a bunch of types of shoes you can mix and match with though. Look into suede wingtips, suede oxfords, captoe's, even some nice leather ankle boots can look great with a suit.

??? That's normal price range from what i've seen and bought.

The cheapest place i've gotten a suit at (Men's Wearhouse) has suits for like 450 at the VERY lowest, for like some Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren Green Label.

A full J crew or Banana Rep. Suit would go for around 500-600 depending on what you choose to buy.

and Polo, Boss, Armani, and Versace would be like 800-1300.

Again this is for a full, nice suit. H&M suits and stuff like that don't really do it for me, especially because I have to dress up often.

well how often would you be wearing the suit, if it's a once a year o once every couple years occasion, then spending 200ish isn't a bad buy. But if you'll wear em often, then I suggest buying something good quality.

Macy's has some sales on some nice alfani suits:

www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=362563
www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=362565

Use the code SUIT to take off 20% should come out to about $180, not bad at all for some nice quality suits.

Well, I wouldn't have a problem with dress shoes if it was for something formal, but would it be weird to wear something like leather Purcells with tighter fitting pants if I was just out an about in a suit?

except their details are fucking stupid. you'll get laughed at if you go to a business interview in one of their suits.

if you want to pick up beezys at a club by looking like like you have money than these are a good option but they shouldn't be your go to suit.

that's not true, you can always dress it down with a clean pair of sneakers like common projects or something.

i agree with you, but not everyone is well dressed in this world, so i doubt the 50 year old employer thats going to interview you will always have a good eye on whats a good suit or not.
