anyone rock a uniqlo peacoat?
how's the fit and length?
i just got my sterling wear authentic in. Fit and quality are amazing.
copped a 34S at boston sterlingwear. fitpics as soon as it arrives
just got my boston sterlingwear coat in yesterday fits perfect... warm... comfy .. looks great but i ordered it NOV 1st ... they said they didnt have the size so they had to make it then send it out... never ordering from there again but at least the coats dope
^ I tried it on today.
Shit is so lame in fit and quality. The quality is worse than the regular peacoat (which is still doo doo at $100).
If you want a legit, warm peacoat, be ready to pay more.
i'm having troubles deciding between a Spiewak Dugan (http: item.rakuten.co.jp/joenet/spiewak-sx514/) and the Sterlingwear Authentic (http: item.rakuten.co.jp/jalana/sterling-m21-oxgry/). which one do you guys think is more worth it?
also, for those who ordered from sterlingwear, i've read that their size chart is highly flawed. how did you guys measure yourselves-what methods did you guys use?
i'm about 5'10" and 130lbs.
I'm 5'7" @ 130lbs, fit 36R for H&M jackets - can't decide whether to go with the Authentic 34S or 36S. Can you guys post fit pictures and how much you guys weight?
Use your jacket size. I take a 38L in blazers and I ordered a 38L. The only flaw in sizing is that the sleeves are _slightly_ too large for me, which is because 1) you're supposed to layer and 2) my arms are really really fucking skinny. If you're normal sized, ordering your blazer size should result in a perfect fitting coat. For reference I'm about 6'2" 160.
Other than the fit issue (which I can easily solve by spending a couple of bucks to get it tailored), I have nothing bad at all to say about the Sterlingwewar. Highly recommended. Thick, cheap, generally well-fitting (certainly better than coats that come in SMLXL), well constructed. Keep in mind that if you order from their site and order any color but black, it'll take about a month for them to ship it to you since they make-to-order every color except black, dunno if that's gonna be an issue for you.
Also, if anyone is looking for a slimmer, cheap coat, Rugby Ralph Lauren's peacoat is about 160 after shipping and student discount. Don't have any hands on experience with it personally, but Rugby's fit is always on point (this is coming from someone who has a hard time buying anything off-the-rack) and the quality is slightly better than J. Crew's. To compare it to the Sterlingwear, it's gonna be better fitting, but thinner. Based on my experience with other Rugby stuff, I'd say it's most likely worth the money.
