Good quality basic plain t-shirt

Oct 20, 2009 @ 12:40
I'm looking for good quality basic plain colored t-shirts. Ones where the cotton doesn't start coming loose after a few washes, and ones that don't stretch out after a few months. Slim fitting as well.

Any brands anyone has found to hold up particularly well?

american apparel...fits slim and after like 50 washes it still feels brand new

I heard something about Ralph Lauren plain tee pack.

As far as holding up the best..I have had a really good experience with Gap plain tees and H&M ones as well.

The Calvin Klein basics seem to shrink a bit though.

I used to have a few american apparel tees but they stopped fitting me. I think I changed sizes concerning them...

brasil,
I used to get gap plain tees about 5 years ago all the time, they still hold up today. The only trouble is about 3-4 years ago they switched cotton to super cheap stuff that frays right away. I haven't bought any since... have they changed again to something better? I hope that's the case...

I wouldn't be able to talk on the comparisons of the cotton, however..I got a slim fit shirt from there about 1 year ago. It has a "stretch" factor to it so it's not your basic cotton shirt..I'm not sure if we are talking about the same shirt. Does your feel like it stretches a bit?

I don't believe the old ones stretched much. I'd get them in gray as under-shirts in those plastic bag containers.

Uniqlo?

Wow, I hadn't heard of them before. Anywhere you can order these online? The closest store is thousands of miles away from me.

they take phone orders

hanes have good shirts..

This sounds ridiculous, but at JC penneys they have some blanks that have a good length and great soft material that lasts. otherwise, american apparel would do.
