What should I wear to a Job Interview?

entered a job application at a place, and am expecting a call for a job interview
i was thinking: plaid shirt (the classy ones with thin lines and more lines) with khaki pants and nike shoes...? (dont have any "classy ones")

OR

Hanes gray crew neck sweater, blue khakis, and nike shoes again (maybe i should look into buying "classy shoes"

OR

what's your opinion? thanks for the help

Unless u are interviewing for a job at foot locker or Mcdonalds DO NOT wear sneakers. Im sure u have some hard bottoms u can wear OR even some u can borrow. Either way sneakers are are a no go for interviews.

Wear some slacks....if all you have is khakis thats ok...but if u have some black ones even better.

A simple white dress shirt and a plain dark tie.

Simple as that.

nice i just google imaged job interview and have a good feel of what i should wear, im just gonna wear a super sterotypical traditional suit.

don't wear a suit unless it's appropritate. trust me, it looks REALLY stupid wearing a suit to apply for some mall store job or fastfood joint. Just wear semi-casual stuff.

EDIT- now that I heard that it's a movie theater job, I would just suggest semi-causual. Polo and khakis with loafers or something of the sorts. Wearing a suit would be overdoing it.

This. Wear a nice long sleeve and slacks/ dress shoes or nice casual shoes.

No you should always wear a suit for an interview. You don't necessarily have the wear the jacket but. Wear a dress shirt and slacks. No tie needed if its not formal.

i.e. if everyone that works there rocks a suit ----> you need to wear a suit

i used to work at UO and for my interview i just went there wearing what i'd wear normally(plaid shirt, jeans and vans)

and as everyone else said, i dont think you should dress accordingly to the type of job you're applying to or else you'll look like the guys in step-brothers when they go in tuxedo to an interview for some random ass job..

Dress neatly, not sloppily.

Your resume and personality on spot will count more than what you wore.
