Seriously, unless you tuck in your shirts, no one is really going to see your belt. In formal situations, just have it match the color of your shoes.

IMO only a few people can actually pull off wearing a LV belt or Gucci or even Hermes.
Espiecally for formal occasions a LV belt is too flashy.

I would invest in a nice brown/tan leather belt.

Louis Vuitton Damier Initials Belts are the nicest belt u can have but if you are looking for an everyday wear belt get a nice plain coach belt, the leather is perfect quality and it will do u justice

It's fashion 101 to match you belt with your SHOES i.e. brown shoes must be worn with brown belt and black shoes must be worn with black belt. If you break this rule I promise you anyone with even a remotely stylish eye will be laughing at you.

It's ironic that some you are members of a fashion forum yet have no concept of the absolute basics of fashion itself.

Not really into flashy belts or anything so I stick with basics. I have 3 Polo belts 2 black leather (1 is more formal) and 1 brown leather belt. Whatever you do though, don't get the imitation leather or anything because that stuff is absolute garbage, I'm not saying go spend $100+ on a belt but get something of decent quality.

brown/tan belts are a necessity, along with the classic black leather.

brown braided belts are nice, but not sure if you wanna do that

I have two black belts, a brown one that was my favorite for awhile (from nordstrom, very good quality for only $60), and a studded black belt I stole from my GF. Just stay away from those hoodrich rainbow colored bullshits *****s be wearing

this rule can be broken if you know what you're doing. but yes, matching is the safest way to go.

Hey guys, got a couple of quick questions I've been wondering about, would appreciate some help


*Are you still supposed to match your belt to your shoes if you are wearing sneakers+cloth belt? As far as I know yes, but I've seen this rule broken in a few publications so not sure sad

*Should a leather belt be paired with sneakers and jeans? Not sure about this one, I guess the leather belt would look too formal compared to the rest of the outfit.. Maybe it depends on how formal the belt looks- like casual leather belt would be ok, but more formal ones would only work with proper shoes+jeans or khakis? sad
