I got a Colorado Rockies New Era Hat yesterday and it is to big on me. I got a 7 3/4 and I usually wear 7 1/2. I have no idea why I got 7 3/4 but I need to shrink it. I heard that you cannot shrink it because it is 100 percent polyester. I also heard if you damp the rim of the hat and blow dry the hat it will shrink. Any suggestions??

I would not recommend the dryer - you can really F up your hat. What I did to shrink my hat was to spray water on the inside band of the hat until it's soaked. You can then let it dry naturally or blow dry the band (some say this method works better). Normally takes more than one try to get it down to the right size you want but just remember that it can only shrink so much. I was able to get my 3/8 down one size to a good 1/4. Hope this helps.
