To play certain matchmaking game types you need the maps, but you dont need them to play the game it self.

I loved the original Halo game. I remember back in the day having Halo parties, hooking up 3 or 4 Xbox's to as many TVs in a house and having mad kids over from school to play. Good times. Never really got into Halo 2 though, something didn't flow right about it. I suck at Halo 3, but I love it to death and play it every day.

This thread made me go to the mall and pre-order ODST though. I can't wait, its gonna be sick.

wait. what. The halo movie was cancelled. they turned it into District 9. i heard for the live odst trailer, that they used props that were suppose to be in the movie since it was 1-2 years in production until the decided to cancel it though.

nvm read the link, apperantly speilburg picked it up.
