That happens to me, too.

But if anything, every other browser > IE.

IE is basically doo doo.

Google Chrome > Firefox > Opera

I know you haven't used Opera, recommending a browser in beta (which borrows a LOT from Opera) over faster, safer and much more stable options.

Opera is just the best browser available, 9.5 was a slight miss-step, but 9.6 seems to have rectified most of the problems whilst adding more innovations and upping the speed.

I've said this a lot of times but i guess it's up to you in the end, but i say w/ some confidence opera is the best.

Does Opera have a Flash video/YouTube video downloader (DownloadHelper) like Firefox has?

If it does, I'll officially make my change to Opera.

I can get music from playlist.com in firefox
Im going to test out google chrome soon

edit: woooo! using chrome right now! Its pretty fast and i would use it if it had mouse gestures

My firefox crashes all the fucking time. i'm sure its not firefox itself but more something it did. but is Opera worth checking out? i'm currently running on I.E. because firefox crashes so much its not able to be used.

Which version of Firefox do you have? I've heard there are a lot of problems with FF 3.0.3. If you have that, try switching to FF 2.

I use Firefox because of the personalized settings and skins. It's also because I'm used to it, lol.

Safari was the best but it kept crashing. Once they make a windows version that works I'd switch to that.

I prefer Google Chrome. It's extremely streamlined for browsing with no extra toolbars and crap that you don't necessarily need. I'm just sick of firefox (though I hear minefield or whatever it's called is suppose to kick epic ass in speed tests) because it doesn't load images properly. Quite honestly, Opera scares me. The German government ran ad campaigns against Firefox and Chrome in order to gain larger market shares with Opera. Whenever I use Opera it feels like I'm driving an armored truck. It's a little sluggish (operating size problemconfused but man does it feel bulletproof. Never crashes and no real errors with code or bugs.

They all have their benefits and draw backs. I think the logical decision would be to just use the latest version available of any of these three browsers. I use all three constantly and have no major complaints about any of them.

^Tried out Google Chrome today. I don't know why but I can barely load any sites with it. Some just take eons to load and others just don't load at all. But all I hear from everyone else is how fast it is etc. Oh well, it's still beta.. im sure the reg version will work fine for me.
