Man, I'm getting really tired/annoyed at the bullshit problems my PC keeps having (and it's not virus-related).

I kept getting Blue Screens of Death (BSOD) after my uncle got Verizon FiOS just newly installed (I share connection with him).

I never had BSODs before this happened. I did a Google search, and apparently, it has something to do with the pagefile.

I disabled that, and then had to reset it after nearly all my programs couldn't function because of the lack of memory (as it says ==> Windows is Low on Virtual Memory).

Fuck. It gets even more annoying when I'm in the middle of d/ling something / doing a paper, and my computer just randomly shuts off and restarts.

Anybody running Windows Service Pack 3?

Is it safe/good? I might have to, considering I'm having problems now.

Nice thread, I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem Ive been having for some time:

Anytime I watch videos online or videos Ive download via Real Player after about 5 min the video starts to lag and gets choppy slowing down my whole computer as well. Then I have to restart my computer because my whole computer just gets really slow. Can anyone help me?

Leumas, get rid of RealPlayer at all costs.

Download VLC player, and be done with it. RealPlayer is notorious for ultra lagging.

I use UniBlue "speedupmypc 2009"; "driver scanner", and "registry booster."
Works wonders.

so while in my search to clean-up and re-tag my entire music collection for my new ipod, i found a pretty sick program called Mediamonkey, gold version available on torrents. I re-tagged my entire 60gb music collection and now 99% have album art, correct titles, all correctly punctuated and re-organized in to folder set-ups for Artist - Album Title/Artist - Track Title. the program has a thing where it can re-name based off of filename/location or it can look up on like amazon and download all the info if available. Then once I finish with this program I run it through MusicBrainz Picard to pick up any leftovers...Then finally I add all the folders in to iTunes to update the album arts to better images if possible and then i finally put it on my ipod.

so basically for music library organizing i recommend
Mediamonkey [gold version is possible it has auto-organzing for new files]
MusicBrainz Picard

So lately, I've been downloading a lot from Rapidshare. I don't do the whole torrent shit, because a couple of people I know got caught.

Anyway, I hate the 15-minute wait between each download as much as everybody else.

I found SkipScreen, which doesn't cancel the 15-minute wait, but it watches the time for you, instead of you having to check up on it.

Try it out.
