The Apps store and 2.0 Firmware upgrade will likely be available tomorrow morning or Friday. How many of you are going to upgrade to take advantage of the Apps offered in the store? I know many of you, including myself, have a jailbroken device, so is it worth sacrificing the customization abilities and game emulators? For me, I've already restored my firmware back to 1.1.4 and awaiting the 2.0 upgrade. It's likely that the 2.0 firmware will eventually be jailbroken so that you can install the upgraded options for free, but I don't mind paying $10 bucks.

Def. can't wait for the App store to launch!

The games look sick, along with the rest of the apps they showed us. There's going to be so many good ones that we don't know about to.

And I'm stoked we can finally save images off safari/email!

It has been confirmed that the Dev team has successfully jailbroken 2.0 this morning. What it means is that you can run both the Apps store and the third party software from Installer or Cydia.

Some of these free applications are off the fucking hook.

Been messing around with "MobileMe" all day, between my work, my laptop and my other desktop at home. Contacts, Calanders, E-mail everything all in sync between Leopard*2, Vista, and Windows XP.

If you go in the store and talk with the employee's they usually can hook it up for $70... so $70/12 = $5.83 a month... fuck yea it's worth it.

Well in my case it is worth it, daily basis I use at least 3~4 computers. Who the hell wants to have to sync there phone to 3~4 different computers! Hahaha. I update a contact on my phone, it's updated on all 3~4 computers... same with calenders which I most definitely appreciate. It was a pain in the ass having to sync all of them in the past. Especially if I check email on one and create an appointment on that one computer it wouldn't be on the rest or on my phone unless i did it manually... So yea, it's _really_ worth it in my case. Saves a lot of time and not forgetting to schedule the same appointment across deferent devices.
