I watched a lot of the Mortal Kombat tourney and all of the MVC3 and SF4 events.

The fights were insane man. You could really see the mental adjustments and stuff. It was crazy.

The biggest change is to his Metsu Shoryuken (Ultra 2), we made it much easier to use.

First, we improved its function as an anti air. The vertical hitbox is larger and it is easy to the the lock (full ultra) hit.

Also, if you manage to get a good read on your opponent and land a counter hit EX Fireball, you can combo into Ultra 2. You will only get the full ultra if the EX Fireball counter hit the opponent. For example, if you threw out a Crouching Medium Kick and it was focused you could then do EX Fireball → FADC → Dash → U2. You could get upwards of 500 damage with this, giving you a chance to make a heavy comeback in one shot. If you are very close to your opponent, you could combo Ultra 2 off an EX Fireball without a focus cancel.

Other things

The effective frames for the "brake" on a rising Air Hurricane Kick has been reduced by 3 frames (from the front of the "brake" frames). When you use it on these frames, the trajectory of your Hurricane Kick will change (larger window for a "normal" air Hurricane Kick).

Solar Plexus Strike is now 40+60, giving you 100 points of damage.

You can combo into Crouching Hard Kick no matter what your opponent's character is from a Close Standing Hard Kick.

lol i have a Flip cam just record the tv. i just need to find a song for the background... something epic this the highest person i ever beat. Admittedly he was having an off match but not my problem. Forever dat proof.

WE CAN ALL SPECULATE BUT THE ONLY THING THAT IS REAL IS THAT IM 1-0 AGAINST THAT HOE ♥♥♥♥♥.

I got to the death with a Juri 12,000+BP using pinwheels repeatedly to beat my Ken's EX DP and footsies play. Managed a FADC into U1 for the win. I wish U2 had more uses online, I'm finding it hard to hit confirm + U2 effectively without a crouch block out of it.

i never even played around with U2. U1 is bread and butter i catch random anti-air wins all the time. its actually how my match with red_snowman ended.

Upload that, homie! I spent a while with U2 and it's great on damage and appealing but practically unusable; I have the same problem with Akuma's U1 and Super unless it's on wakeup. I've even had someone throw me out of it, soooo livid.

yeah i can never land akuma's U1 on anyone unless they suck.

Usually wait till the flip on wakeup; doesn't seem to be a safe landing on their feet and get caught up anyway but it seems super situational. It can offset your morale and open yourself up if countered.

Can we agree that Abel's U2 is the best in the game? Hold and quick animation + big damage, what?

Yes. I hate Abel's U2. I hate Abel in general. Luckily i don't run into many of them online.

I heard they removed his cr.HP x Sky Fall BnB which is a bummer but haven't validated it myself. I can't seem to see his usability online what with the mass Oni's and E. Ryu's that spam HP Hadoukens incessantly.

I honestly get Juri's and Oni's online, gets kinda old.

I'm playing tomorrow night at University Pinball in Philadelphia, demonstrating my style with my Ken. Let's hope for the best, mad rusty son.

Guess we play at complete different times. I've faced a few good Ken's, nothing I couldn't handle but I see him played a lot. Need moar honda, def.

my worst match ups are against E.Honda and Sagat. I usually play around 11 PM - 5 AM somewhere in between there.

And I'm 3 hours ahead of you, haha. I'm usually on weekends, be on the lookout Noon Friday-6pm EST Tuesdays. It's the only time I get to actually invest into playing online.
