Yea yo I definitetly run to my xbox and jam the off switch off right after I lose and toss the controller. Then I vent for a few minutes and hop back on. Lol, its addictive!

i be sittin with my feet up and if i lose a couple rounds i just start punchin the fuck outa my leg...i went to play ball the day after and someone asked what that bruise was from. I just said sf4 and the kid got this weird ass look on his face

anyone else gets annoyed from that fucking music background song when we are waiting at the matchmaking? also it sucks when your hosting a match when noone else joins on the lobby. Also ive noticed alot of people been using Ken or Ryu that just jump dragon punch alllllll day with no fucking combo attacks and thinks they are badass.razz

exactly sooo many people use Ken and Ryu with cheap, lame tactics...its all good though cause they\ll get it just the same..I added some of you guys by the way... wouldn't mind playing against you. I got my ass handed to me by some guy using Dhalism he was really good!!! I tipped my hat to him! and is it me or does teh battle points system award players on how well they plaed the match...or is it just random. One time some guy beat me and only got 9 points...but the match was real close and heated.

Ryu and Ken can def be annoying for some people depending on who you choose to play as. However, there are a lot of ways around those tired ass tactics with the hadouken spam and that high priority dragon punch.

I'm nowhere near pro, but I've been playing Balrog lately because he's so good against shoto type characters and he's just fuckin badass. I was playing this Ryu player who just kept spamming the dragon punch after trying to cross me up.

Just step back, or focus/dash back, and make them whiff then punish with a poke or sweep. Rinse repeat if they keep up that dumb tactic.

I had a pretty epic match against a Ryu player. We both had one round each. On the last round we battled it out until we both had just a few chips of life left. I kept mid distance and he kept trying to lure me into a jump in using hadoukens. I jump in over a hadouken just slightly out of range of his dragon punch and he decides to try and finish me off with his ultra. If I block I'm dead and I was too close to jump. I had a Turn around punch charged and saved. I didn't know if it would work and just said fuck it and let it go. Went straight through the ultra and clocked him in the head.

Goddamn I love this game.

I think it might be based on your ranking compared to your opponents ranking... Maybe people who are way higher than you only get a small amount of points, whereas if you're on the lower end and you beat someone higher ranked you get more points.

i wish sf4 had an online mode where you can create you own mini tournaments and invite whoever you wanted in the room. that would be dope. then you caould get all you buddies together and just go at it and at the end the two winners fight for bragging rights

Supposedly in the next DLC... which could be months or years. Who knows.

The matchmaking is definitely randomized.I tried changing my settings to fight against more experienced players and he/she didn't seem to play that well and after I saw the battle points I still had a lot more than my opponent.weired.that sf song bugs me a lot especially when u just sit and wait for an opponent to join its gets really annoying.

As far as balrog .that dude has one of the dopest combos,a lot of pros use him. Tigerprawn u on XBL?

Shit fighters irk me when they just choose ken or ryu and the lazy hadouken tactics, hoping you jump then they hope to hit you with the shriyuken or a sweep, *****s is lame.

Haha, just stick with it. It's hard when you're just starting because there are kids who have been playing ever since they could recognize what SF2 was and never looked back. And since this game is relatively the same, you're going to be fighting kids who have essentially been playing this game for over 10 years (or whenever SF2 came out I don't remember).

I love this game, but I still enjoy playing Capcom vs. SNK 2. Maybe it's just that there are so many more characters and team combo's that every match was unique. In SF4 you're going to fight the same types of battles with the same types of characters many more times.

And fuck trying to do cancels with a standard 360 pad. I can't even do Sagat's fake kick to get beyond challenge mode because the trigger isn't fast enough.

Yea I've been practicing that so I can nail it whenever. So far I've gotten it a few times, but missed more than hit. He's such a dope character with the pokes and mind games.

My only real attempt at playing a charge character aside from Guile back in old school SF2.

@Randysav yea I'm on xbox live sporadically. When I get some free time I'll post my gamertag and we can have a few matches.

this shit has probably been asked before........but what is the story to this game? can anyone tell me?
this is the first SF i played so idk about that prequel ish, but i've seen the movies for almost every character.

i can kinda distinguish between whose "good" and "bad", but the cutscenes are just straight lame if you dont know the deal. (ie: fei long......wtfconfused
