Just confirmed from Capcom's Gamer's Day press conference in London.
All we know so far is: "A stylized trailer of Ken and Ryu fighting was shown, but no actual gameplay footage, and while development has started the game is still more than a year away for whatever platform it ends up coming out on, Still, we can all rest easy that it is indeed on the way." -Kotaku
This is all over SRK and the official Capcom blog too, but it's been down due to flooding for the last few minutes.

The trailer looks sweet...
I hope they have all the characters from all the previous SF's and throw some new ones in. I'd love to see an updated Fei Long or Yun and Yang.

5 E-Bucks says its going to PS3. and i wish arcades were more common,id love to go to an awesome arcade,all the ones out here suck and have games from like the early 90s


i still throwdown on capcom vs. snk 2 at the arcades...

I hope they make it 2-D aswell, but if they do go into 3-D I don't think Capcom would mess it up. I mean come on its Street Fighter IV it HAS to bring something new to the table and shut down all those other "fighting games"

The same team that made those 3d Street Fighter EX games aren't the same team that made Street Fighter III/MvC2.

I kno...The only 3-D game fighter I liked from Capcom was Rival Schools. I think that was a decent 3-D "street fighter"

the 3d street fighters were terrible...if Capcom does this one in 3d it better be mindblowing...but i have fingers crossed that it'll be in 2d and in high resoulution... like a better version of Guilty Gear.

^Honestly, that'll be the most common choice for capcom imo. We have a ton of there older games in the XBL arcade and were getting Street Fighter II HD soon.

Yeah, I hate to say it but I think Capcom will be bringing Street Fighter IV to PS3. Controler is made for fighting games.(even tho I prefer arcade stick) Maybe the 360, but I strongly think PS3 because of all the Japanesse support.

As I play fighting games competitively, its pretty much confirmed this will be on PS3. It might come to 360 but 360 controllers are terrible for fighters. However, with the recent release of the Hori arcade stick for 360 its possible.

Hori sticks are moddable with authentic Japanese arcade parts. Generally, Sanwa parts are used with 3d fighters and Seimitsu with 2d fighters. The trailer for this game makes that difficult to determine what kind of parts you'd use for this game though. There are PS2->PS3 converters though and I guess you could use a custom or MAS PS2 stick through a converter for PS3.
