Anyone else hype for this? Been watching a lot of Road to Evo tourneys as of late. The UMvC3 is gonna be hype as fuck. Mad I got work the 6th and 7th though, I hope I don't miss a lot of shit.

me here, not hyped for the marvel tourney though. For some reason I'm not interested in the american FGC and their streams. aquasilk is an exception.. the only exception. i live near Next Level arcade, hope to go there one day and get a signature from Team Rush Hour. I'm only hyped for the ssf4ae tourney cause of the international roster this year. last year was a dissapointment.. Props to Fuudo and Latif last year but I'm positive these two won't grand final each other again.

JWong is on his way back up to the top. His rufus is looking strong with that fadc combo into ultra buff. I expect him to place high in umvc3 too.

JWong will definitely place high in umvc3 but for ssf4ae I don't think too highly of him because he hasn't shown much recently except for when he sent daigo to losers. He wrecked momochi in grand finals too..
I'm thinking Daigo/Kazunoko/Xian/Tokido/Sako will take it.
Latif and Fuudo will definitely not make grand finals again.. pretty sure they're both downloaded by now.
Xian has a really good chance because he beat daigo in a first to 7, and no one beats daigo in long sets.

Diago loses all the time actually. He was the best during vanilla/super days but now he has some competition. I wouldnt be surprised if I didn't see Xian in top 32.

yeah he does lose, but he's proven to be the best as time passed. xian will have some trouble since he showed a lot of the dirty gen setups at SEA Major, daigo even admitted to having trouble with xian's gen and ricky's rufus. pretty sure these few days daigo is just downloading them two before he leaves japan for the states.

I wasnt planning on winning Evo or anything lol but i could definitely beat a lot of the guys there and it was just supposed to be a fun thing. Get drunk in vegas with my niggas, fuck some people up in street fighter, etc.

always will be. this year i think its $25,000 split amongst the top 10 for ssf4 AE, it's on the top of the prize money ladder out of all the games.

rockin' top 8 for SSF4 AE finals.. can't believe PR Balrog is in it though, he fell down from SF and got extremely good at Marvel for a while. If anything I hope he doesn't choke like he did during CEO finals against infiltration.

niggas back then didn't understand seth, he's just another glass cannon like akuma. as far as i know no one is banned for SSF4 AE. last year most of the tourney was Yun because he was pretty broken, beatable, but broken. he wasn't banned though.

Great tourney, I missed the ae stream though.. I got on at 11est thinking they would start sharp. It was still on mvc losers semifinals, went to take a nap and got up at 1:15 it was fucking winners semifinal for marvel. Ended up saying fuck it I'll watch the archive tomorrow morning

Thought AE top 8 was boring as fuck. Infiltration just ran through everyone. Best match hands down was Xian Hai vs. Gamerbee though.

Marvel Top 8 was just wild though, every match is insanely close in the top 4.
