I grew up playing THPS. I got every one up until Skate came out. I just downloaded this demo. I hated it. Skate is just so much better...

So many memories on the tony hawk series. I spent like 2 full summers playing American wasteland online multiplayer. Really sad that they shut down all the online servers tho. This doesn't look anything like the original though

I was so stoked when I heard about this game and bought it right away as I had spent so much time back in the day with THPS 1 & 2. After playing it though, I am somewhat disappointed. I realize the game is only $15 dollars but, I feel they could've included more.

I still find myself enjoying Skate 3 more. It's closer to "real" skateboarding and has a lot more content. You have to line up your grinds properly and "flick" your tricks right. I know they are different games but, I should've played the THPS HD demo first. That and you can pick up a new copy of Skate 3 for $20 these days.

All this being said, I don't feel absolutely robbed by Activision. It's fun to revisit the original game(s).

I've played it some more since my last post in this thread and it has grown on me. After unlocking some stuff and getting most of the special moves down it brings back the good memories of playing the originals in the 90's.
