i believe for worse. I mean don't get me wrong, but did you see how it was looking, it reminds me of no more heroes, which is a good game but is raiden supposed to be looking like that?

i believe for worse. I mean don't get me wrong, but did you see how it was looking, it reminds me of no more heroes, which is a good game but is raiden supposed to be looking like that?

From the last gameplay trailer shown at E3,Raiden seemed to have the same suit design as the one shown here.
To me,it just looks really bright.since platinum games has its hand in this,I can see the influence (Vanquish,bayonetta).
Im a little iffy about this,but im most likely gonna copp when it comes out.

Doesn't the graphics look a little worse than before? Will this game have any stealth they talked about before, like hunting your prey ninja like.

Yeah,the graphics seem like they have been tampered with.In the old E3 trailer,the graphics looked similar to MGS4.This looks a bit more "animated" rather than realistic.

Still looks kinda fun, but the movements look a bit stiff, like no more heroes.

I don't really mind how it doesn't feel like an actual MGS, it looks good as a game in general.

But screw dat soundtrack. ._.

It looks dope af to me. It just seems like they're straying so far from what the fanboys know and love, so people are definitely going to hate this. But me personally, I've never played through a MGS game so it doesn't bother me that this is so different.

i already see the hate, and it probrably wont cease, huge fan of the series but...i dunno i was looking foward to the story just for the fact that previously it was set between sons of liberty and GoTP

^wait,It takes place AFTER MGS4?? Info on this.

And I read an article on IGN saying how according to Kojima,the original MGS Rising that we saw at E3 was canceled.The game was set to have a compleatly different story line.Once platinum games stepped in,they came up with this new story,hence the title "Revengance"

I think Im okay with this. Give the third party a story after the last game so it doesnt necessarily fuck up canon and get Kojima to handle the loose ends between 2 and 4.

dont mind the change in direction considering its not MGS, but i'm not feeling it. like someone already said, it seems "stiff." also seems like they try to make it look super badass, but i just thought they tried to hard and failed miserably. i dont think it'll stack up well against some of the better hack and slash games

Even though I am a huge fan of the cannon MGS series,I have faith that this game will deliver as far as gameplay is concerned.Platinum Games hasnt failed on releasing a sub par game yet.Tbh,most of their games are slept on.
Shit,if this game is anything like vanquish,then I have no worries.

I'm down with this game. But only because it's not really part of the MGS cannon. Someone mentioned this earlier, but this is NOT a metal gear SOLID game (the thread title is misleading). It started as MGS Rising, but then kojima handed it over to Platinum games and they revamped what they were gonna do. I appreciate that they took out the word "solid" from the title to differentiate this one from the rest as the gameplay and direction is completely different. I like hack and slash. I like the metal gear characters and designs. So I'll prob like this.

^Its widely slept on,but its dope as fuck.After playing the demo I immediately went and copped it.
Its well worth the $20 at gamestop.Try the demo on either the 360 or PSN marketplace,depending on what system you play on.

MGS is my top game series ever, because of the story, gameplay (quite unique comapred to your traditional game), etc.
I have big hopes for this but I'd be really upset to see the gameplay messed up beyond what MGS4 did to the series. personally, I really liked not being able to move the camera, because it would always be odd, or cinematic angles, so that the play through is more immersive (as if your waching a movie by a master filmmaker, but playing it).

Still, I'll play this, and love it, but we need MGS1-3 quality back.

It brought everything to a nice close.I just wish there was more emphasis on gameplay and a little less on cut scenes.They did it a little too big with those scenes,which took alot away from the gameplay.

i didn't mind the cutscenes. I just wish they didn't add a couple of Gears-of-War style gameplay elements, I think MGS3 hit near perfection. I would have preferred more of that with better graphics.
