In some ways it is the same or similar because it's the same engine. There's only so many improvements/changes they can make I guess. I've come to realize this after years of hating madden I guess.

I'm no Madden fanboy, but I'm actually looking forward to this. The new tackling/elimination of suction blocking/tackling is enough for me to buy madden for the first time since madden 04. The new camera angles and shit will be a bonus.

It's still gonna be the same old madden, but it'll be madden 11 with better tackling and more interesting (hopefully) presentation elements. That's good enough for me.

I wish the drafting in Franchise mode was a little more in depth. Like I want to know the kids stats and how the team did, if he won any awards and shit. They try telling you that a guy from Brown will go first round and shit, and you know that doesnt happen.

I wish Madden didn't go the bitch route and buy exclusive rights for the NFL. 2K would make a more progressive game than this bullshit

meh if its anything like ncaa this year, won't be as revolutionary as they always promise

running game in ncaa is pretty fucked as far as breaking tackles but i know its always different when madden comes

how's everyone liking the demo? i think it's pretty good but i haven't owned a madden in a while so i don't know how it stacks up. might end up picking this up.

Lemme put it this way. I haven't purchased madden since madden 2004. After that I got 2k5 and have never really been a fan of madden since. I've played it with friends over the years, especially madden 09, 10, and 11 cause I've been in college. My friend gave me madden 10 for free when he got 11 last year, and I played that sometimes.

After reading all the previews, etc. regarding madden 12, I not only decided to buy it but I even preordered it.

And I am pleased with the demo, it is the best game to date, within the typical "madden" boundaries. I'd say pick 12 up it could be the best version this generation.

Why do you hate it? What parts don't you like?

As I've said I'm no madden fan but this is the best madden has been since 360/ps3 came out. This is pretty much what madden should've been this generation.

And what do you mean about the sound effects? There's no commentary in the demo, they left it out. But there's still crowd noise, field sounds, little pieces of music, etc.

when i was playing i didn't notice any sound effects at all, lack of commentary is bad too.

i don't like the new kicking game + kicking view, they change this shit every year it was fine with the thumbsticks, feels like i'm playing nfl blitz or something


i've only played 1 game so far but those are the major things i noticed. i gotta wait till i can get in to franchise mode.

but ncaa wins again this year for me

My copy from amazon was delayed by the hurricane, but my roommate got his copy. Played about 10 games so far and it's pretty good. I'm definitely happy with it, and it's the best madden this gen imo.

picked this up for ps3 since i broke my xbox, only played 1 game doe

titans rated 75? da fuq

integration with the NFL channel/website is cool since I can't get that channel anymore. would be even better if they streamed games on sundays confused

gonna start up franchise mode tomorrow and then nfl superstar

i still HATE the kicking camera and controls, no idea how that passed testing when you can't even tell where you are aiming

trying to throw on the run without a running QB = horrible pass most of the time

franchise mode seems to be overhauled pretty good doe only played 1 game of franchise. got all the young kids on my team like mark ingram and josh freeman cool

Throwing on the run is pretty much impossible, even with mobile qb's. Kicking from the new view is impossible I didn't make a field goal until I switched to the classic view. And play action is really tough too, only pulled it off 2 or 3 times over the course of like 30 games.

I still like it though overall, I'll finally get to play my ps3 copy today, amazon finally shipped it. I complained to amazon about the delay and they gave me a $5 credit. So now I'm using that + my $20 credit from pre-ordering madden to get fifa 12 for only $35.

Having played about 30 or so games on my friend's xboxes while waiting for my copy, I've seen quite a few freezes. My one friend had the game freeze completely twice just trying to get past the start button prompt. And when my roommate and I played there were quite a few times where the game would slow down and freeze for a few seconds during gameplay. I also had a game where as it went to cut away before starting overtime the game froze completely.

Haven't had a freeze yet on my ps3 copy, but I've only played like 3 games.

i have a 360 copy. ive only played superstar mode since i got it yesterday but it freezes at the menus and loading screens pretty frequently. i havent had any problems in game yet though.

lol wonder if they switched the freezing problem from ps3 to 360.

the last 2 years on madden every time i would snap the ball it would freeze/hesitate for 1 second apparently because of having a larger harddrive then normal ps3s causes problems?? but looks like they fixed it this year on ps3

haven't been able to play on 360 doe

^i played my friends madden 11 for 360 like a week ago and it had a lag at the snap. i guess its not anything new.
