ive never played the first MGS so now i can finally understand where the fuck bigboss and ocelot...

yeah same I started from MGS2 and I was sooooo confused. I had to wikipedia the backstory and had my friends explain everything to me, and I was still confused as fuck hahaha

MGS1 is on the psn store for download if you have a psp or ps3.i think its like 5 or 10 bucks.

Definitely getting this. I wish it had MGS in it, but Nintendo has a hold on TS, and really, MGS2-style gaming when they didn't change ANY of the enemy locations would make it too easy anyways. If this set sells as well as I think it will, maybe they will make a whole new MGS redux.

Never played PW either, super excited.

i preordred it for xbox for $43 and they gave me a $5 card towards Rising. Doubt i'll use that $5 cause gamestop probably will have a preorder bonus.

Picked up my copy on release date. Supposedly the xbox version was supposed to come with 4 free avatar awards to make up for the fact that microsoft didnt get the redeem code to download MGS1,but it seems like konami reneged on that decision at the last minute.all the "free" items are now on the marketplace for purchase only

Other than that,the game is

the graphics are such a step up from the original games.

I was trying to get the achievement where you scare otacon with the ghost pic, but it didn't work. Climbed up on that balcony and snapped the pic. Snake even said hmmm. Looked on YouTube and some guy took a pic of one of the projectors. Didn't know he showed up on one.

Erg, have to wait 'til Thursday to buy it, payday. Excited for this though. Tried to play my PSN copy of MGS, the graphics are tough to get over though.
