Scariest game to play at night?

I remember a part my father showed me in Silent Hill 2. It was in the hospital and there's a door that's locked, so after examining -- going out of the same room, this huge crash happens which sounds like someone busting through the door but nothing there, creepy as fuck.


Worrrrrrrrrrdddddd. That's what I always cite as my scariest gaming moment. I shit my fucking pants.

Even playing it to this day, it still freaks me out. Usually psychological fuckery gets to me more than sudden scares but goddamn man. Wasn't a fan of the ending(s) though. :/

I never played the full game, but F.E.A.R. was fucking scary like that. It was nice how the action and scary parts were spread apart though. So you'd get scared then have to kill 20 guys... then get scared again. Repeat.

I couldn't even play the Silent Hill demo during the day for the OG playstation. Resident Evil still scares me, but that's some good fun at night.

DOOM3! Easily, this shit was too fucking scary.

I remember playing this in the dark alone & the game was basically you walking in the dark & sometimes the light would flicker in the game & a fucking guy comes out, scared the shits outta me!! Seriously it took me like an hr or sometimes hrs to beat a level cause I always walked slow in the game.

silent hill 2 is easily the scariest, i remember playing that shit late when i was in 6th grade, the fog just has you tensed up at all times. they need to do a remake ASAP
