GTA4 is mad overrated. It was coll and all being the 1st on the next gen systems but It kinda failed to deliver. It got really boring fast and I was expecting them to bring back all of the elements that made San Andreas so great but they failed.

I don't even play the shit anymore but they have 12 million subscribers because it does everything right. I just burn through content too fast and I hate planning my life around raid times.

But yeah, all MMO's are boring, it's part of their charm I guess.

I think Nintendo as a whole is overrated. If Sega could have ran a better company I think the console market would be radically different now. Seriously, the dreamcast was a decade before it's time.

MGS4 was not the game I wanted, but to say it was overrated is a bit of a stretch. If you wanted MGS3 again, you're going to be disappointed, but once you put that aside, game was piff.

GTAIV is pretty much the same as the above. If you wanted SA again, you bummed, get over that and you'll see GTAIV was going for realism, and not in the Tamagatchi style where you have to feed your character and shit, but in look and feel. It was a good game, not a 10/10 game, but not far enough back to be labeled as overrated.

RE5, all the above works for this one too. It was a good game in its own right, but it was not what I wanted in an RE game.

As for overrated games, I'm gonna say RDR for sure. Lots of cool shit in this game, especially the hunting/skinning, but I never really felt compelled to finish the story missions outside of opening areas / unlocking weapons.

MGS4 is a fucken movie with some parts where you actually play and the controls are so fucked even then. I even have the MGS4 edition PS3 coz I was fan of the previous games. Did anyone try to play it online? fuck it was terrible, the whole Konami registration and the cheating and everything. Everything about it sucks.

GTAIV I played way less than San Andreas, just not as addictive or epic as SA.

I though IV was far more epic. It was just so story oriented that I found no reason to play it again.

As a big GTA fan from the PS2 releases (3, VC, San Andreas), I have to say I was amazed when i played GTA IV for the first time. The graphics were so crisp, unlike anything i've ever seen in a GTA game, the online was fun as hell early on, and the missions were on point.

I think i'd give it a 10/10 off the bat as well

I agree with fiasco on GTAIV

I actually highly appreciate GTAIV from a technical standpoint. The gameplay is still GTA by all means. But honestly, I feel that game mostly nailed realism (even if it is a little over the top) in an in game world. A lot of games try to do it, but a lot of them either fail hard or just barely miss it. Every character has in has life in it. Sure it may have taken out a lot of the features that San Andreas had, but honestly I really didn't care for most of the features that game offered. It cut down a lot of the fat and kept it true to its roots. I can honestly jump in that game and find something new about it every time I play it again every now and then.

Yea, Little Big Planet is not overrated at all. I never thought it was good, then I played it at a friend's house, and it was awesome. I bought it the next day lol. And everyone I've showed it to/let play it has liked it.

And GoW isn't overrated either. Yea there's button-mashing but there's way more to it then that. The story, gameplay, controls, etc. are all on point.

Admittedly, i havent played lbp that much. i rented it once but i just couldnt get into it.

and i like i said, i love GoW, but to me all its got going for it is the storyline and the gore. Other than that, its pretty damn repetitive
