I'd be more into the Tekken style (3D) 2D fighting is kinda boring I like Tekken so much more cause theres parries, sidesteps AND you can block, street fighter all you can do is... block... unless you count the focus attacks but you take damage anyway LOL

Still I can't wait for this to come out, however I won't buy it if Bob is not in it =[

You take damage but it recovers jus as long as you don't get hit say someone uses a fireball and u focus to absorb it it takes away life but you recover it slowly however if you get hit you lose the life that didn't recover haha shit I must sound like a tweaker now but I can't help it only game that works properly at the arcade i go to

I Just hope that it lives up to what it looks like. I always had an issue iking Tekken games but with SF this should be a dream game.

cut and paste? i dont get it. the fighting mechanics are completely different than SSFIV. It seems like a mix of SSFIV x Marvel vs Capcom 3


The colors aint doing it for me and the fighting mechanics just seems off. I'm keeping my eyes on Tekken Tag 2 instead..

I play both games. Watching that gameplay trailer I see it like putting juggles in SF and taking away the 3D aspect of Tekken by making it a 2D game which is odd because side-stepping is a huge part of Tekken. I guess you're just going to have to block and parry everything. I'm going to assume it's going to be a 4 button game since Tekken only has 4 buttons. I wonder how throws will work. Since theres a huge amount of input throws for Tekken and only 1 input in SF.

I don't really think these games should go together, Marvel vs Capcom works because you can just put Marvel characters into that system. But, in this case you're meshing a 2D fighting game with a 3D fighting game. I think I remember them saying there will be different modes but then how can you be on the same page if theres multiple sets of mechanics? I'm not too excited about this game. TBH I didn't really like the new system for T6 either but I'll probably give TTT2 a shot since I loved the original.

Street Fighter x Tekken is likely a four-player game after its producer teased the feature.

SFxT features a real-time tag battle system that allows players to fight as a team of two and switch between characters by simultaneously pressing medium punch and medium kick.

Rival fighting game Mortal Kombat, out this week, is also two-on-two, but allows up to four players to play in a match, each controlling a single character.

When Eurogamer asked Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono if Street Fighter x Tekken also includes four-player fighting, he replied: "Just look at my face and imagine. I'm sending you psychic signals.

"Eventually I'll have to answer that question."

Capcom has announced 10 characters so far, including Ryu, Ken, Kazuya and Nina Williams.

The game system is based on the 2.5D Street Fighter IV, with eight way movement and 3D characters battling on a 2D plane.

Tekken characters have been reworked so they play on the 2D plane with six attack buttons, although they can still be played with the traditional Tekken four button system.

I was thinking the same thing. Ehh. That the hell is up with those dark ass shadowings of the characters? looking like they are fighting in a dark ass alley way 24/7 that shit is ridiculous. I think this game is going to be a FAIL.

I think there's too much following in the FGC for it to be a fail, though I doubt it would be all that well. I'm sure Tekken x SF would make a more well-rounded game considering SF has had at some 3D play and can 'mesh' well with Tekken.

I highly doubt there'll be tourney play of this at all, what with Marvel 3 and MK9.
