I asked my roommate if I could play his 360 today since I brought my ps3 home from college already, and he said, "yea that's not gonna happen".

Then he turned the 360 on, and those three little red lights came on, rrod. I told him to just ask for a ps3 for his bday, but he said he's gonna get the new slim 360 instead.

how is this not positive? an error in the old drives, and microsoft is giving brand new 250 gb consoles. not 4 gig, 250 gig. that is swag as fuck. Im pretty sure my 360 has a samsung drive which seems to be the one that it has problems with. cool u mad eric?

it wont get bricked, you just cant play games. it has nothing to do with the hard drive. just the disk drive.

Bioshock if you want a scare. Game was amazing, but it was scary lol.

Or buy Bioshock 2.

I think you should be able to, as long as it's not so fucked up that your xbox doesn't even recognise that it's in the disc drive.

Purchased a 360 about a lil over a month ago, played Gears 1 and 2, i thought it's an overrated franchise and shouldn't even be compared to the Uncharted franchise. Gears is a GOOD game don't get me wrong but Uncharted shits on it for sure.

Halo on the other hand is pretty epic. Nothing on the ps3 (fps wise) matches the brilliance that is Halo. The campaign made me care about saving earth unlike Killzone where i could've cared less if humanity false into demise.

Another feature 360 has that i thought was cool at first was the party chat. i've been to numerous party chats and it's been really fun but it sways people from talking in game. i really thought since 360s came with mics there'd be more people online talkin in game but i was dead wrong. party chats totally kills mic use in game. party chats is cool if you got a strong group of friends that always game or whatnot but it sucks when you just wanna chat with strangers and make new friends.

all in all, im satisfied with my purchase. i'm enjoying 360 exclusives like gears, halo, l4d2, fable 2, forza 3 and mass effect 1 (played ME2 on my ps3).

Yeah it works. My fallout disc got scratched to the point I couldn't pass the start menu. I borrowed my friend's disc to download to to my hard drive and I can play it perfectly now (with my scratched disk inside). It's best to install all your games now considering the availability of space.
