are you fucking retarded? get off sonys dick dude. millions of people got all of their information stolen and is probably being sold on eastern european hacking forums right now. you can do a lot of phishing damage with just your name address and phone number even if credit card numbers didnt get stolen. ive read that this could cost sony 24 billion dollars after all is said and done. you best believe there will be lawsuits on lawsuits. you're a fucking idiot if you don't think this is a huge deal. every single person who has a PSN has had their information stolen and sold. open your eyes dude.

Not only is this highly damaging for Sony financially, but it also severly impacts Sony's PSN brand image. There are a lot of people who will not trust Sony or be highly wary at the very least right now. This story is plastered all over the news and already nervous or ignorant parents will be even more hesitant to invest into online gaming services for their kids. The fact that Sony kept people in the dark for so long is terrible. I'm just waiting for Fox news to spin a story to attack the gaming industry.

At a time where the industry is pushing for a move to digital distribution and wider online services this news certainly doesn't help at all.

imagine nintendo trying to push online services to families with the wii2 - they gonna be cautious because of this

but right now, i reckon only those actively looking at ps3 news will know
alot of people here don't even know this shit is happening, or care lol

Yeah I agree about its wider reaching effects.

This news is pretty big or will get bigger. It's been on the main evening/ day news here in the uk already.

it's been stated that the reason these guys targeted sony was because one of their members got fked by sony earlier in the decade, so I presume if they were to have had beef with any other platform brands, they would've been in the same situation.

it doesn't take you 5 damn hours to download a damn demo or whatever you are trying to download. i can download 5 game demos in the time it takes me to download 1 with PSN.

kind of the same with demos but updates download a lot faster too

i personally hate hearing people talk while i play games. i liked how in mw2 i can plug my mic in and not have to hear anyone. now with black ops i have to go through all the names and mute people.

don't know what the "dedicated servers" on live are about but i'd prefer PSN over Live even if both were free

The whole putting a smile on consumers faces is a cover up.
Corrupted is what they are not, they just know how to use their options and make products for cheap in china and/or other countries and sell it for a decent profit to consumers.
