well congrats to them if they did hack the ps3 but damn all hacks really are pointless for the ps3 , if you cant afford a game sell your ps3. the only thing i can think of that needs a hack or even an update is the internet browser but laptops work better for that. ps3 runs flawlessly pretty much, just upgrade to the WD 1TB internal HDD and your laughing. leave the hacks for the 360.

thats sweet, instead of having sony say thanks to the hackers for finally being able to hack the system. Just need to put a patch to block access to play back up games, like how they took out the ability to run Linux. and yay they take out USB completely and expect to then further make them more cash by buying a charger, nice business tactics but this type of shit is more microsoft style. or maybe they thought more would buy PS+. i hope they dont fuck with usb's and all that BS but its just another reason to keep my non problem having fat ps3.

seems mental. but there is new ps3s coming, new as in bigger HDD, havent seen or heard anything on wireless N or 0 USB ports, but it still seems false, if true I'm sure there will be mods to get em to work. BUT the Move needs the Eye to be used through usb, so im with infamous on this one, they won't kill out the ports, they need to put in 4 again anyways

i lol'd at sony shutting down all usb ports, that's absurd. They could just release a software update that blocks the kind of content that is used in hacks.

If they really do that fiasco, they'd really be fucking up.

While we are all up and excited about PSJailbreak (PSjb), there might be a risk on playing with PSjb on PSN. According to SKFU and RichDevX, the Backup manager game ID (LAUN-12345) could be logged/recorded by Sony when logged into PSN (when online). This would obviously allow Sony to see who would be using the illegal PSjb/clone and we could very well see ban waves similar to the Xbox 360. Sony does currently ban PSN/consoles that results in the 8002A227 error code.

As people start getting their PSjb in the next few week, we highly advise that you do not log into PSN while using the backup manager, which means no playing online.
